The downside of being a popular site

Hi, as quite a lot of you may have noticed, we've had some performance problems with the site in the last few weeks. The explanation for these problems is rather simple -- we've had tons of users browsing the site, and the server hasn't always been able to keep up with the load.

We've doubled the amount of memory in the server today and we hope that it'll help the server to manage the load.

However, from time to time there may still be situations where the server appears slow, especially in the next few days. In those cases we recommend you to have some patience, the server will eventually respond. Hitting refresh on your browser just makes the situation worse. Thanks for your cooperation :wink:

Looks like we have been mentioned somewhere in the media, there's quite a lot of load on the server at the moment.. Please have some patience, regular EBT users may want to do something else while the new users have a look at the place :wink:
