The Rules
I like the avatar topic so much that I make a poll of it. I ask you for the avatar you like the best
among all avatars used in the first half of April 2005. This poll will run until April, 15th.
You can vote for 10 avatars, including the top 5 of March and 5 new entries, which were found in the thread "Avatar of the Month - March 2005".
If a candidate changes his avatar during the poll his votes will be annihilated. (Rule of unambiguity)
Avatar owners who drop out of the poll list by the rule of unambiguity, cannot be nominated in the same month.
Only if there are more than 25 votes in April, there will be a May poll as well. (Rule of relevance)
The top 5 avatars from April will be candidates in the May poll as well. (Darwin's law)
In case that 2 or more avatars, which compete for the fifth position in the poll, have the same number of poll votes, I take the decision who goes to the May poll. (Poller's burden)
This decision will be based on the trend of votes as compared to the month before, I prefer the avatar which increased more (or decreased less). (Favor the newcomer)
5 new entries to the May poll will be found in this thread. The registrated forum visitors are invited to nominate avatars. A nomination is a favorable remark about an avatar which is not in the April list of poll candidates. You can nominate only one new entry. If you make remarks about several avatars, I only count your first positive remark about an eligible avatar. Nominations can be made until the 25th of April, midnight (GMT + 1) and only in this thread.
If a user, whose avatar has been nominated as a new entry, changes his avatar between the date his avatar has been nominated and the 25th of April, midnight, his avatar cannot enter the May poll. (Rule of unambiguity)
The 5 avatars with the most nominations will be the new entries to the May poll. (Darwin's law)
In case that 2 or more avatars, which compete for the last new entry, have the same number of nominations, the one that has been nominated first goes to the May poll. (Rule of the early bird)
