I absolutely agree with European culture, also because with the approach they have given it it could finally break the taboo of the "prohibition" of representing elements attributable to some EU States and not to others. In this way it is emphasized that culture / characters are the common heritage of all of us, they are European Unionals and not just one or the other.
European values mirrored in nature is also interesting, but it is also more abstract, while we need something instantly identifiable and unmistakably European as the theme for the new banknotes.
