A series of questions for you or whoever knows:

Is it possible to know how many S/S were contractualized to be printed?
And, if so, shouldn't that be the number of printed and issued notes, that is, printed minus faulty?
And, if so, isn't that the total we're looking for?
Is it possible to know how many of each denomination/printer/year was contractualized — and, if so, what are the official sources for this?

(Sorry if I am straying too much from the original topic. )

For an answer to your question I refer to the production page of the ECB. This page shows the euro bill production for each year by total amount, by denomination and by country. You can see that the last time Italy printed was in 2012, ahead of the launch of the Europa in 2013. The first years after 2013 the Italian were very common, but due to wear and tear, ever more Italian were taken out of circulation and destroyed. In later years, other countries started producing , among others Greece (2014, 2017, 2018 and from 2023 onward each year) and Portugal (2015, 2019 and 2021). The Greek and Portuguese replaced the Italian .

Unfortunately, the Production page does not discriminate how many are produced per printing works or country.
