A great idea, but in this case I was remembering to the producers of sites that as soon will be activiated .eu finally.
Excuse my excessive synthesis... but I'm not a person of many words, to the contrary of what they sustains the legends about the middle Italian

Registration of .eu domains starts on 7 December, according to an EURID press release. To read it (in English and four other EU languages) go here:
http://www.eurid.eu/en/press
Note, however, that between early December and early April (sunrise period) only certain institutions and companies can register an .eu domain name ...

On Wednesday (7-Dec) EURid started accepting Sunrise I applications. And by this time - Update 9-Dec 16:00 - they have received about 117,000 applications for 86,000 different domain names.
Currently the most "popular" domain name, judging from the number of applications, is "sex.eu"

followed by "hotel.eu" and "travel.eu". By the way, a few .eu addresses already work with regard to web sites:
www.eurid.eu (the registry itself),
www.whois.eu (Whois services)
www.europa.eu (forwarded to europa.eu.int)
