Money is nothing and chickens are free?

'Yea, course'', 'Okey you can get mine, but then i want 10 chickens for it'. That's much easier. Money is produced in factories you know. That means that in fact, there can be produced as much money as people want. The only thing is that it doesn´t happen. But it [/b]can. (and the worth of the money will if there is more produced, will getting lower then too, ofcourse).

But what if you have nothing the other person needs? You might have the 10 chickens, but the other person might be allergic to chickens. Let's say the person needs five turkeys, instead. So, you'll have to find someone who has a turkey. After along search you find him. Luckily he lives only 7km away. The only problem is, even he doesn't need any chickens.. But: he's always wanted to have a cat. So, to search you go! Only 10 more kilometers and you find a person whose cat has just made some kittens. He agrees to change your 10 chickens to a cat because he happens to like scrambled eggs. You then carry the cat to the person who has the turkey, giving the cat away and getting the turkey. Then at last you go to the person who has the pig. You give him the turkey and get the pig. You're walk home singing happily.

But what if you could just give the pigman something he could get the turkey with? Would save you an awful lot of travelling ;)

Not that I'd really like the idea of how money works in the present day world.. But I don't think the money is the actual source of problems. Were there no notes and coins people would find something to replace them. Maybe hair, maybe little rocks. Or, maybe squirrel skins.

If birds were currency, a lot of Asia and Turkey/ Eastern Europe would be in trouble now!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

8O oh you all make me doubting about what my opinion really is 8O
(maybe I'm going against my own opinion of a few days ago now but nevermind)

You are right that money is a good solution, and make it easier of use. BUT what it does too, is making a very complicated system of the whole life. It causes so much worries. People are all worrying about the money...
That's why I thought, that life would be easier, when there wasn't any money. Maybe i'm thinking too easy now :P :D

And you can see hair, or rocks or even squirrel skins as a kind of money too, i think. But I think, that all the money-systems we have now, that's making it all more difficult then it is. And there ís a different between rocks, and the money we have now. I mean when you are at a place where are rocks, at one time the rocks are gone. You can't make new, but you can get new, if you go to another place. And money is produced in factories, and it doesn't need much to make it, so we can eventually make new. (i don't think anyone of you will get this, because, as i said earlier, i have a very strange way of thinking which no one understands :) ).

Of course, money is necessary in the world we have now. I mean by all the inventions nowadays the world has grown more complicated and it still will grow like that. And because there are so many inventions, apparature, and stuff. That all costs money. And first, almost the only thing we needed was food, that's a way easier. I mean just by getting luxurity the world get's more and more complicated, so the money-system does. I don't say that we should go a few thousand years back! I think development is good. :) Only the disavantage is that it all goes more complicated. :?

But that's what I think now, maybe tomorrow I think already a bit else about it, i don't know. :D But the main thing stays the same i think.

And maybe i'm just way too young to have a clearly (what i don't have, i mean not clearly) opinion about this subject. :P

so, written long enough i guess 8O

True :P But, what if there would be suddenly something wrong with the material of which money is made?? I don't think that is very probable, but it could happen. Then we'll have a big problem too! 8O

And.. Considering that one pig costs 10 chickens and 1 kip = 0.0000812592 EUR, pigs are quite cheap. In the other hand, chickens are even cheaper.

@turtle: There are more people who think the same about the 'too adicted EBT-ers'. Even I don't know why I visit banks this much to get some notes, and entering them, and bring them back. But it's just for the fun for me :D
All those other people who think the same like you about some people here (the too addicted one) just don't have the guts to tell it here, really,: We just like to see some arguments/what others think about EBT. You won't have to be ashamed :!:
