Next Friday you can win almost 146 million € with
Euromillions. For those who don't know what Euromillions is: it's a lottery organised by several national lottery agencies. It is the highest amount ever for this lottery. Last year an Irish women won 115 million €.
I am going to buy a ticket. Are you going to buy one also?

Mostly I use quick-pick. That is when the computer of the shop owner choses the numbers. That is why I am saying "ticket". In Dutch we use the word "biljet". It's the same as bill in English.

Yep. To be honest, I bet on euromillions almost all fridays... I was not very lucky so far, I won once 13eur with one number and two stars... I hope to get a big prize soon. Nevertheless I think it is not easy to guess 5 numbers out of 50 and 2 out of 9.... Let's play anyway

Yes, Euromillions is huge here in Portugal (from the 9 countries, we're actually the ones who spend more money on the game).
I usually only play when there's a big Jackpot - I played €6 last week (€4 in association and €2 in a single bet I made - I think we had one of the association bets won something and after dividing by everyone who played, I should get €0,50 or something like that...).
I actually enjoy analysing chance games (although I very rarely play for real money) and Euromillions, in that regard, is a sucker's bet - only about 40% of the money that is betted is returned in prizes. I know that, statistically, my €2 were better spent in a slot machine (or blackjack) but, come on, you can't win €145 million in the casino, can you?

Last week I played for 12 € and I won 17.40 €. So, I can buy a new one this week and I will get a note of 5 € back.
Can you imagine what kind of amounts we can win if all the countries of Europe will become a member of Euromillions? It must be incredible.

For the last three weeks I've participated, and won every time (well, it's easy if the combinations of 1+2 or 2+1 "normal" and special numbers return something).

Oh, that's what one of the shopkeepers once asked me

Now I understand. He asked whether I wanted a Pickwick draw - and I'm absolutely positive that he said Pickwick and not quick-pick. Too much tea or a Dickens fan?

I play every week in a society with my co-workers. If we eventually win, our department disapears

, only the chief remains, alone..
Every week the same numbers, we play in the internet

I too entered as part of a syndicate in work. We won €9 between 11 people last week
Hopefully next week we'll win a bit more!

Stop boasting like that! What is it with you, you.. you.. you YOU!? You just come here and try to make everyone turn green, then blue and then again green of envy? What are your motives for this?
Yeah, it might be you are rich now. BUT SO WHAT?!? So are we, just in an emotional way.
(and for those with very very low income: The above text contains certain material that might by some people be considered as a joke. Thank you for your coöperation (oh, how I love writing that word that way (and oh how I hate ending up having nested brackets):)))

Well, here we say quick-pick. Maybe there they say pickwick. Was it in Belgium?
