2002 coins

tell us about your rare findings of 2002 coins from Finland, Netherland, Belgium, France, Spain

I found a :flag-es: 50c 2002, this is my first one of them ever found.

so I found these coins in circulation:
:flag-fr: 2€, 50c, 20c, 10c, 5c
:flag-es: 2€, 1€, 50c, 20c, 10c, 5c, 1c
:flag-nl: 2€, 1€, 50c, 20c, 2c
:flag-be: 2€, 1€, 50c, 20c*2 (different size of the stars)
:flag-fi: 1€, 50c, 20c, 5c

A quick look at my archive tells me:

:flag-fr: None
:flag-es: €2, 20c, 10c, 1c
:flag-nl: €2, €1, 20c
:flag-be: €2, 50c
:flag-fi: 20c

Hi aplfi, nice to see you in this topic, I waited for you :D Of course I still have it, I thought of listing this coin, then I remembered I have it from you, and so it wasn't me who found it in circulation, so I waited for you to post this coin :lol:

You can note all the 2002 Spanish ones. You can still find them among us in circulation... except the 2 cents and 5 cents which are impossible. (However, I got them in my gollection :D )

well some banks choose to call 1999 , 2000 , 2001 and 2002 all 2002 and some of the years migt stil be stocked in the banks and not out for circulation yet ( im stil recieving rolls of unc 2001 coins )

Better put: in some countries the year on the coin is the year of minting, in some it's the year they're put (or perhaps should be put) in circulation. For a euro changeover, of course, lots of coins are needed, and since coins last longer than banknotes, most coins in circulation might well be from the first euro years (=2002).

and the other :flag-gr: coins from 2002 are also findable, I can't imagine that you have never had any of them :)
and remember that the :flag-gr: coins from 2002 have 2 different versions, with or without the EFS letters

with German coins, there are big differences in the denominations
percentages of 2002 coins in circulation
1c: 42%
2c: 31%
5c: 50%
10c: 93%
20c: 61%
50c: 85%
1€: 85%
2€: 66%
