A hit is good when the serial number and denomination match.
Despite its serial number and denomination, this note entered twice in database... bah... I don't call it a hit.

No, they are not suspicious at all, I made typos as well... but someone can play with them.
Anyway, these are the answers I wanted to know.

Why not? It's clearly the same note.

Why two different ID? Well, as it is the same, why does not it merge it? So it should be a hit.

That's how the hit system in EBT works. Every note gets its own ID and if the serial number and the denomination of two (or more) IDs match, we have a hit.
This way, bills can be removed or changed without affecting the original entry.

So there are two different IDs for the same note, right?
Can you find the IDs of my hit, please ?

Download your Hit-CSV, open it in Excel (or Notepad) and search for the serial number.
You will find three entries, twice your own (because of the format that EBT uses) and once the entry of your hit partner.
You have all the data of your hit partner there, like short code, ZIP, city, country, comment...

Done, thank you.

But I have now understood that only serial numbers and denomination are valid for a hit. So short codes are nonsensical (for the system, I mean).

Well the short codes helps to find out which note is science (real) and which is fiction. Nonetheless we have some interesting statistics concerning the printers for example this one:

One Currency, one Union, one Eurobilltracker...
My dots are of the same order as 10.

Might be an idea to collor the shortcode field yellow for advanced and expert users if it doesn't match according to this list;

Yellow means "strange or not known combination" but it doesn't stop you from entering the note.

im not a website coder but it shouldn't be to hard to code i think. Might be harder when you want to add the specific value to a note combo
