I'm sorry to inform you, but we've lost an active Eurobilltracker.

Earlier today BaliBennie has passed away.

Concerning EBT, he was not only active as a user, but also behind the scenes (support and citymanager).

We'll miss him

Our Bennie! In December he has lost his beloved mom and now he has followed her. I liked BaliBennie. Always friendly, positive and he seemed to carry a smile in his face all the time. Rest in peace, dear Bennie, we will always remember you!

We lost an active EBTer and one important team member behind the scenes.

What an awful news. In the beginning of EBT I've had a lot of contact with Bennie. We went to meetings, chatted a lot and were planning to do the first EBT-Meeting in Amsterdam. He was a great guy. I still remember one meeting where we were talking about someone who had an avatar with a guy lying on a bycicle-lane and at that moment Bennie decided to do the same. Walked on the street and was lying on the same bybicle picture. We were laughing so loud and we're having so much fun. Such a humouristic guy. A couple of year ago I decided to put EBT a bit on a lower level, so now I'm really sad that I've never really said goodbye to him Bennie, rest in peace, I hope you will also find your mum again.

I am very sad about this new.
He gave a big help to EBT (city manager and support) and he was an excellent person.

Any news about how this happened?

PS: how can you forget a similar person?

I haven´t met him personally, but in some way each tracker is related to every other tracker. It´s sad that he died so young. May he rest in peace.

I have met Bennie a few times, he was from the same town as I live in. So sad to read this on twitter...
And of course he was way too young to pass away already. R.I.P. Bennie!

What a sad news. I did not meet him in many years but had funny time with him almost ten years ago when we participated same meetings. He was a really nice guy, really a kind that you could only like.

I always remember this picture that was taken after German EBT-meeting in Nürnberg back in 2005.

Bennie, jij was een zeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer leuke EBTer : altijd glimlach, altijd positief. Een UITSTEKENDE persoon.
(Bennie, you were a veeeeeeeeeeeeery friendly EBTer : always smiling, always positive. An EXCEPTIONAL person.)

i`m very sad to hear this..

knowing him for almost 10 years and meeting him in a dozen meetings, i truly will miss him!
I saw him drinking beer with apfli & kassen-jackl in nuremberg, lying on a street in helsinki doing his famous "bicycle-avatar", drinking genever in hasselt, holding an "e" in frankfurt and and and...
we had a lot of fun all those years
