What do you do with unusual coins you find in circulation?

Post by elemzzuu »

I know that in this forum most of the people will answer "Keep them and add to my collection", tho it's interesting to know if there are people who would rather get them back into the circulation for others to enjoy a rarer coin after posting a find in this forum and/or ticking box next to the specific coin in the "virtual" collection in the smart phone app or somewhere on the paper.

I guess answers like "sell them on ebay", "try to swap for other coins" means you should choose "keep them" option in the poll.

thank you for your answers!

I put them apart, and then, when I have several, i propose them to one of my four friends Euro-Coin-Collectors..... And i swap them with some banknotes ...

What for a question  . Keeping them  . Ok, if there are too many of a specific one, I do spend some; but normally I keep them. I even put them aside, if they're in more or less good condition.

I collect only €1 coins. I don't keep all the others. Recently I've found a slovak 5c, I celebrated a bit and put them back in circulation

I keep one in my collection and a couple of doubles to swap, but I enjoy putting the rest in circulation.
