Could you please change the profile-name Terschelling Midsland to Midsland ? The Terschelling-prefix is only used in written addresses, the name itself is just Midsland

Someone has merged 2 totally different places with the same name Hofstade (ID 40978) into 1 profile: Hofstade 1981 and Hofstade 9308 are 2 different communities who are 50 km from each other  . Thanks for splitting them.
Thanks De Slak for reporting.

Just out of curiosity:

Brugge-centrum: 9.257 - 10.431 - 19.688
Kristus-Koning: 2.114 - 2.358 - 4.472
Sint-Pieters: 3.591 - 3.947 - 7.538
Sint-Jozef: 2.655 - 2.659 - 5.314
Koolkerke: 1.546 - 1.618 - 3.164
Sint-Andries: 9.511 - 9.916 - 19.427
Sint-Michiels: 5.870 - 6.418 - 12.288
Sint-Kruis: 7.794 - 8.325 - 16.119
Assebroek: 9.353 - 9.988 - 19.341
Zeebrugge: 1.980 - 1.906 - 3.886
Zwankendamme: 387 - 337 - 724
Dudzele: 1.290 - 1.274 - 2.564
Lissewege: 1.237 - 1.216 - 2.453

TOTAAL in 2006: 56.585 - 60.393 - 116.978
in procent uitgedrukt: 48,37% - 51,63% - 100,00%
(http://www.brugge.be/internet/nl/Bewone ... ijfers.htm)

As I understand this it means Brugge is the sum of all this (maybe just administrational) "sublocations", as it sums up to the total population of Brugge (116.978) and the total city area of 138,40 km², is governed by the same mayor, etc.

Is that right?

Can we do THIS now? We got a user from Portugal requesting the Lisboa-merge, a user from Belgium approveing the merge for that belgian profiles and we got, myself, as German user asking for a merge of some German cities.

This should keep the conditions of the City-merging-requests-just-for-your-own-damn-Country-rule, doesn't it?

I agree, the merging operation can be different for each country.

Although Belgium is not my-own-damn-Country, and try to answer the Brugge question (without checking wikipedia :P )

In the city of Brugge only 19.688 people live ("Brugge-Center"), but in the municipality a total of 116.978

The other names are part-municipalties of Brugge and have been independent municipalities in the past (I think it was the 1976 municipality reform).

If that was a request to merge Brugge complete, that's absolute NO NO NO.

The other request which are "City-merging-requests-just-for-your-own-damn-Country-rule" are fine by me. Please note that I personally against merging Lissabon to one big city and that this is not accordingly this topics existence, but go ahead.

I'm not asking to merge Lissabon to one big city. Lissabon is a big city and Benfica, Belem, Marvila and others aren't cities not even villages. They are neighbourhoods in Lissabon just like, i'd mencioned before, Raval in Barcelona, Chelsea in London and Mitte in Berlin.

No Dakkus, this is NOT what Mr Euro or me tries to say, and you know that! So why asking??
I am unable to find any logic behind what Mr Euro is saying. I figure the way I thought Mr Euro /might/ have meant it is a bit pointless, but since I was not able to come to any better conclusion, I decided to make the question of mine.
I will now read the thread further, trying to figure out what Mr Euro is talking about. But if I was incorrect with my guess, I would of course ask that Mr Euro bestätiges that I my guess was wrong.
