I tried that, with an interesting result (I also tried using the "Clear browsing data" tool in Chrome, in case that helped, since it empties the cache). For some reason all my charts now appear in French except those that are on pages I have checked in the list, which appear in English (i.e. my "Value" section is checked and its charts appear in English. My "Travel stats" section is not checked and its charts appear in French). I get the same result after re-uploading the CSV files and re-emptying the cache, just in case.

Flag is where most notes have been entered (looking at the last 200 only).

My last 200 notes are 145 Belgium, 43 Netherlands and 12 Germany. But my flag stays Netherlands instead of Belgium

And from this 145 Belgium notes, 109 are from the french speaking part of Belgium so my stats should be in french now. That might be to difficult to manage, but I prefer a system with choosing the language of your stats.

I have a hit on that day. It is the middle date of a triple-hit.

That's an interesting point you raise, and one I had to deal with these days when sorting out a bug. In the hits CSV, there's a field that contains the "hit date". It matches the last time a note was found, and it's the one I'm using when I need to use a hit date. The side effect of this is, as you can see, that when you're not the last person to find a note for the third time (or more), then "the" hit date doesn't match "your" hit date. The hit you are missing in the calendar is actually there but in a different, later date.

This implies that the hit ratio chart changes when a hit becomes triple (or when a triple becomes quadruple or…): one of the quick downwards movement that signals a hit in that chart moves from one place to another. I haven't generated any chart with fictional data to actually see it, but I guess it's what would happen. I wonder if anyone knows of a case where this has already happened with NIG. In NIG's calendar there's a clue about this, since it says "Triple hits can change hit history (one hit note = one hit = one official hit date)" so that may perfectly apply to the NIG's hit ratio chart too.

In any case, I don't completely agree with this behaviour so it could change in EBTST.

I prefer to auto-detect things, but it's obvious that when the auto-detection fails, which is the case here, other solutions have to be looked for. So thanks for highlighting the error .

No, it isn't. But no one else seems to have noticed this…

Quick update to include the following fixes:

• The hit ratio chart wasn't accurate. It had not one but two different problems. One of them touched the 10000 data points explained in the last update. Now adjacent points are not proportionally bundled into one along the X axis: the first 5000 aren't touched. This way, the spikes at the left of the graph are honoured.
• When users with no hits updated their CSV, they were shown links to the hits sections. I inadvertently introduced this bug in the last update.
• "Hits in both directions" now shows correct figures ( jonman). Local hits no longer appear in the both ways listing.
• The local hist listing was ignoring the country, so it was possible to have a hit e.g. City1 → City1 regarded as "local".
• Triple (and beyond) hits were being assigned an incorrect number in the Hit list table.
• Add some missing translations ( several people). Still more to do (specifically: messages regarding CSV files upload and the errors in the Bad notes section).
• Enhanced the help section: required browsers, pop-up blockers, accepted date and geographic coordinates formats, lucky bundles, other hit potential ( jonman). Thanks to the people making the translations .
• Improve the contents of the tab/window opened when publishing the statistics.
• Configuration:
  • Expand the K007/T Trichet range from T2740-T2899 to T2738-T2899 ( presidente). Some users, especially Irish ones, will see a reduction in their "Unknown" signatures upon CSV upload.
  • Make yellow a little darker, to the point that it's difficult to call it "yellow" now .

I made another update to EBTST to make the following changes:

• Hit analysis: sort the lucky bundles in ascending hit ratio ( Yippo). I'm thinking on trimming this listing so it doesn't get too large. For instance, something like "Don't show lucky bundles when the hit ratio for that day is twice larger than the average hit ratio of the user". Do you have any opinion on this?

Improvement, but I still would prefer the old NIG way of descending number of hits. Also the hits in the bundles should be sorted in the order of hit number, now it's in order of note number which makes it little bit funny IMHO.

When you consider trimming, maybe three times of average hit ratio AND hide bundles with only two hits (unless hitratio is notably low, for example under 5 or 10). I have over 50 of bundles with 2 hits with hitration 10 or below. I don't find these interesting at all. Except in those cases when there has been a "possibility" for triple. For example with these two hits. My note numbers 12408 and 12411. Currently, my first bundle with 4 hits in something like 60th or 70th in the list and the bundle with most hits in the last quarter. NIG shows 144 bundles for me. I have two bundles which have hit ratio worse that average hitratio x 2 and 24 which have hitratio worse that average hit ratio. In NIG first two hit bundle is number 61.

Summary: I find bundles with more that 3 or 4 hits interesting and therefore they should be in the top.

EDIT: Now my first bundle in the list is a two hit bundle with only three notes -> hitratio 1.5, which is kind of interesting also. But maybe not worth of being the number one...

Hello and a big thanks for this tool to dserrano5.
I also have two enhancement requests:

1. Can you sort the notes/{month,year} in reverse order, current {month,year} on top? It's a lot more convenient to find your current data at first glance and not have to scroll down a possibly pretty long table.

2. Can you generate a table of contents for the longish pages to make navigation easier?
E. g. on "Locations" one might want to navigate to a specific country;
on "Top Days" one might want to check top months.

What do the others think? It's probably not worth the effort it I'm the only one who thinks this is a good idea...
