Yes, the rules are written and neither I nor the four Slovenians whom I exchanged fivers with broke them. I also prefer my notes to reach other locations by means of proper normal transactions, but when kajak asked me to do this (exchange my fivers for her fivers, and spend hers in Portugal without registering) I thought it wouldn't be that bad of an idea. There are plenty other types of forced travel abundantly used by a lot of ebtists (and also not going against any rule): go from bank to bank to exchange notes, stop in every corner to buy something we don't need, exchanging with non-ebtist friends, refrain from using a debit card, and so on and so on. Of course, when the Slovenians and I traded these notes, none of us thought that this extremely unlikely hit situation could happen. In fact, this is kind of a boomerang hit: if the first person to register this note was Grega and not me, he would have been unable to register it again when he found it.

For me, anyway, this hit is uninteresting, but it wouldn't be that uninteresting if the finder was any one apart from Grega. I will ask for moderation as he already did (well, kind of, but I do understand him: from a certain point of view, a boomerang hit is always quite interesting).

Btw, presidente, you for a fact are one of the very few big ebtists that go against a rule just because you think your way of thinking is better (yes, I'm talking about registering places where you haven't set foot).

..please register notes where you want if you think is the best way to do!!! :) :)
:D :D My discussion was only against who, and we have many of this case, arrive in one exotic country and ask notes to friends that are with him putting as location this exotic site..but I didn't wait for a so big insurrection..may be because many users are used to do this..
I prefere put as location one city where I didn't go but I am sure note was in this city that a city where the notes only changed hands from a friend to an other friend. No rules for this case so you can do what you want..it's only my opinion. :D :D
About your exchange of notes during Bologna meeting, I don't like it but is not against any rules so if you like to give an "help" to international hits..do it!!! :D :D Sure I am more happy to do an hit that I' m sure I didn't aid it.

Why?
There is a game running in Vienna - look at "Diskussionen zur Site und zum Euro-Tracking (Deutsch)" Subform "Statistiken und Spiele" and the "Wien Bingo"
The Rules: Vienna had 23 districts and you had to find in each district a bill from each other district or my bill from each district will be found in each other district -> so you have 23 * 23 = 529 combinations for BINGO !

Those were the hits with him or her.

The banknotes that were deleted; do they come in a seperate database. I have sometimes the impression (just a feeling) that banknotes that were deleted can be entered a second time especially when it was a hitnote.

It would be nice to know rather the amount of banknoted that were removed also the amount of hits that were deleted.
Hoy Vermeer...
The notes goe to a seperate database, so when mistakes occur (and why shoudn't they) we can retreive those deleted notes.
Communicating the number of hits...thats a more difficult one...
as analyzing the huge number of notes to detect fake entries, this is a very timeconsuming issue...
So keeping up a seperate system about who looses how much hits is a bit of a lower priority!
May be later on?

I want to stress this! It is not funny to clear the database. It is with pain in the heart that we remove suspected notes. Especcially when the mess is big and correct + fake entries are not cleanable!!!!!

It is not that necessary my remark about hits.

It is only so that you only know your own hits with a deleted user; not about other users that lose hits.

Yes, there is a rule, a very clear one, right there when you register your notes, on the "Simple" form:
Enter the name of the city where you got the note
The Italian translation, btw, is correct:
Inserisci la città dove hai ottenuto la banconota
It's perfectly understandable that you might have fogotten this rule because you probably havn't been using the "Simple" form for four years now. Something of the sort happened to me, in fact: for a long time, I didn't realize there was a particular rule on that form because the first time I "needed" to enter kind of a city name on the Postal code field I didn't notice and that was even before I stopped using the "Simple". The rule is:
No spaces, country or city name.
And that's why I have 153 notes registered on zipcodes that look something like 4515-658 FOZ DO SOUSA. (Actually, FOZ DO SOUSA is not a city name and I have an excuse for having done it, but as soon as someone pointed it out to me on the forum I changed behaviour. Some day I will ask the support fellows to clean the mess I did on these 153 notes.

Sorry to bring this again but frankly, presidente, implying on the first post that Grega and I didn't abide to the rules ("The rules to follow during the meeting are written and the most important is to arrive with only fivers to avoid this type of similar friendly hit.") and then stating the opposite ("I don't like it but is not against any rules") is not exactly a fair and unbiased communication. So please be careful on the choice of your words (and the number of smileys…) when accusing an old honest ebtist. 8)

Louis Miguel you are completely right!! we celebrate hits done in Kurmenistan with notes found in wife or friends wallet!!!  About words used...I reread my post and I didn't offend nobody, I only denounce, and this was true, that notes involved didn't become hits without help. If for you it's normale exchange a lot of notes with other user during the meeting absolutely not problem but (for me) is not to play with ..."fair play".

there are still the first notes of Irrer Ivan who confessed long time ago (2006, 3 years) that these came from a non-reliable source but who has started real euro tracking afterwards.
