We will meet at Prešernov trg at 5,20 pm, the boat trip will start at 6,00pm in front of Ljubljanski Dvor (if you don't came to the Prešernov trg be there a few minutes befor the 6,00) and will cost 5€.

It's easily possible in Austria, most banks don't have a problem with exchanging euros for euros, but I haven't tried asking in English yet. Some might refuse or ask for your passport and charge a small fee then; centrally located banks in larger cities shouldn't be a problem however.

Well, if your German is good enough, there shouldn't be any problems - apart from the odd "I'm having a bad day and I don't like you"-tellers.
And in Austria, you should use "wechseln", not "umtauschen".

I'm interested in that, too... How are slovenian banks organized? Can you easily exchange amounts of several hundreds (up to thousands ) of EUR without any problems (like in Austria, Germany,...)

Yes there is a problem. You have to be their (banks) client with account than you can change notes in this way.

Yes there is a problem. You have to be their (banks) client with account than you can change notes in this way.
I can help all of you. I'll come to the Hotel Slon (you can tell me in what time ) may be at 1,00 p.m on friday and go with you in the banks, post office and park hous. It waunth be a problem. They know me and knows EBT .
