W-EBTM09: Who will come to the meeting and who will not

If anyone needs help, please consider Pisa as a suitable airport (expecially for lowcost flights), from there through Florence in 2hours train you're directly downtown Bologna (Florence - Bologna is just 55' by train).

why is the deadline for registering fixed on January 18, 2008 for a meeting to be hold on March 28-29 ?

If I happen to be in Italy by that time i could take my decision later on...

By the way, March 28-29 does not sound winter anymore... It's more a spring meeting...

My questions are still unanswered :
- why do you put a deadline of nearly 3 monts for regsitring to such meeting ?

3 month (since now to January) should be enough to decide, and if someone isn't sure, it'll be no problem to register later - but only in special cases.

The summeredition will take place in the summer (July, August or September), the winteredition will take place in the winter (January, February, March). It's up to the candidates to decide when it fits them best.

Anyway as it was planned as a Winter-EBTM meeting, and imho, Winter-EBTM sounds better than Spring-EBTM.
But if you like to call it Spring-EBTM (as following the calendar 28th of March it's spring not winter) you can do so, of course. And additionally, maybe the Winter-EBTM will be held next year in january or february, and we should have the same name then, not in one year "W-EBTM" and in the next year "S(pring)-EBTM" (of course this abbreviation should be also confused with Summer edition)
But above all, who cares about the name, as long as we all can meet in Bologna?

Well, I did not hand in my holidays yet but it should be ok. If nothing unexpected happens, I will be there.

I learned that I won't get any leave between March 1 and April 5, 2009 - so I am definitely not going to be in Bologna next year.

I'm a little confused, 'cause there is no finnish people (at this time) besides Cinnamon.

Nevertheless, I'm able to come as far as I know at this time. There is still some uncertainty about my holidays, but it should be ok! I need also think more about flights, hotels, possible car rental and such things. I'll get back to business as soon as I'm sure about my participation.

Regarding direct flights from Finland, there's a Ryanair flight from Tampere to Milan - Orio al Serio, which is close to Milan, in Bergamo.
Bergamo to Bologna is not so far by car or by train!

Blue1 is flying from Helsinki directly to Milan Malpensa for around 200€ one there, bus till Milan Central Station and in less than 2 hours you are Bologna downtown.

With the newest high velocity trains you can get less than a hour from Milan to Bologna but, of course, they're more expensive

jovada was enthousiastic, yet realises only now that there's no direct flight from Brussels to Bologna
I'll try to find a solution, so you can put me on the maybe-list!

If you - or anyone who considers flying Ryanair from Charleroi - has a possibility of taking a prolonged weekend, there's an excellent deal at the moment: Charleroi-Bologna on Thursday 26th and back on next Tuesday, 31st of March costs only 35,38€, taxes included.
