The old one is better, I think.

I like the new one.

maybe it's time for a colour-style-switch.
or the possibility to use the own style-sheet.

Me neither, it looks like the contrast is way off...

the darker parts of the layout could now also need some brighter colours. The top line with the "EuroBillTracker" text for example. The bottom line with the contact mail address is hardly readable

and the difference between the colours of the link boxes and the main background is not visible any more

The forum has no darker lines on top or in the tables. the background here in the forum is white.

This is the "problem" of the EBT-Side. No great differents are better for the/my eyes...

It made me wonder whether someone had wiped the dust from my screen :).

For me, the difference is very small, although I lean towards the "better than before" choice.

now I'm experiencing a difference: with room light in the night, the style looks much better, it doesn't look that much too dark any more. With daylight, it's much stranger

Um, there seems to be a problem with your monitor or browser. The logo text is still the same (old background) color (BFCFCB). Also, what you mark as color 2 and color 3 are the same (DDE2E9).

See the HTML code or a plugin like colorzilla if you don't believe me :-)

that's right, but I wrote

I think if the background of the main frame is brighter, the other parts of the page should also be brighter. The left part of the logo in my picture is what I think the colour should be, I changed it to the main frame background colour.
and I think that, before the changes, the colours of the left and/or right boxes were visibly different than the colour of the main frame, which I think is a good idea, now it looks hardly different

here an example about the contrast: on the left side of the image, the text is readable, on the right side, it is not, although it is the same colour.
