Entering notes with any comments should work now. Updating the profile should also work now.
dmo11 wrote:Just entered a note in most likely a new town, it shows in statistics as a new note (went one up), but not in my list of notes entered.
It used to be in the list right away, is this maybe a new feature for notes in new places or something wrong?
Yes, there is something wrong. The code has now been fixed so that any further notes entered from that place will show up correctly. The note you entered is in the database, but with an invalid location, and notes with an invalid location won't show up on the list. Fixing the invalid locations will require a bit of work from our side, the usual support tools aren't sufficient for fixing this. This problem affects 65 note entries from 12 users. Please wait for further instructions regarding this.

The "last 10 locations" is indeed a problem, but I will need to prioritise on fixing problems that cause data corruption or are otherwise serious in nature. Any other Development WG member is of course free to fix these issues as well, I'm not the only one who has access to the source code.

in "my profile" and in "my notes" I see 182901 entries, while in "statistics" I can see 182899.
It never happened before and I don't know if it may be a problem with the update.
Thanks.
Is this still a problem?

What is the reason for "invalid location". Is it possible to avoid this in the next weeks till the bug is fixed?

Yes, it can be solved. You are among the dozen users who were affected by this bug. You will get instructions regarding this by email today. Fixing the invalid entries will require some cooperation from the users, because the location is stored as 'null' in the database for these affected entries and we don't know the correct location for the entries. Users will need to fix the locations themselves, but before they can do it, the 'null' will need to be changed into something else by me.

Hi Avij,
looks like that the automatic generated emails for passive hits are not working :-( . Another small problem are the top 10 comments, they are now in order of appearance, before update they have been alphabetically sorted :-)

I had disabled the hit notifications until I had time to make sure they're working properly. I had some concerns that it would also need some modifications. I've re-enabled the notifier now, so you should get your hit emails in a few minutes.

As for the top 10 comments, I'd rather delegate researching that issue to the rest of the Development WG.

Looks like the same is true for the "last 10 locations" - alphabetical order as well...

I have now changed one setting which may affect this. Please let me know if you still experience problems with this.
