Tell us more about maxl and ALL those hits. Maybe then......
This mixes up quite a few things! As if it were your decision. (Sorry. It's not my decision either.)

First of all, the country list. This list is incomplete, and the policy has always been to extend it on demand. Originally, the list was designed to have only those countries where the Euro is legal or factual currency. This has been relaxed subsequently, and as a consequence ultimately all independent countries are likely to get on that list.
Now, a list with two hundred something entries is messy, and the Eurozone countries play a special role. It has generally been agreed to re-arrange the list such that these 12 countries appear on top of the list. Re-arranging the list poses apparently some problems; otherwise Avij would most likely have acted already. While we are waiting for this we collect the requests rather than adding them (which, again, could only be done by Avij), and to keep track of all requests, we use this thread. This explains Poutsi's and my posts above. Tram-love and everyone else who has recently requested to have a certain country added is asked to remain patient for a little longer.

Second, hits. This does really not belong into this thread but we've gone off-topic anyway. The guidelines for entering bills are currently nowhere found on the site, Fons, and the last time they were seen in public was in the newsletter of march 2004 (which is still available in English, German, Spanish, Finnish, French, Italian, Dutch and Portuguese). The relevant paragraph is
There's one basic rule: you shouldn't insert notes if you know in
advance that the note has already been inserted by someone. An exception
to this rule is that if someone has written the EuroBillTracker address
on it, those notes can freely be added but it's advised to describe the
situation using the comment field.
An important word is should. You shouldn't document money exchanges with your girlfriend (as the resulting hits are pretty uninteresting; nevertheless each of them has to be removed from the list of interesting hits manually), but if it happens you shouldn't feel bad about it.

It is somewhat unfortunate that genuine fake hits and simple "uninteresting" hits are treated the same way, and this creates the (in my opinion, wrong) impression that the accidental creation of uninteresting hits is considered site abuse.

Peaceful greetings
Gauss

Today I entered coordinates for Austria, La Paloma, 27001 .
According to google this place is in Uruguay. As Uruguay is not in the country list yet, maybe some user entered notes with wrong country.

This was agreed with him, and we well correct the country when it's listed.

I just entered the right coordinates. Now it is up to the user to send an email to the support team so that the right country is shown. (It is now entered as Cameroon)

Mozambique, Madagascar, New Zealand, Uruguay, Gambia, Peru, Bolivia and Chad have now been added to the list. The reordering and translations have been pushed back to some later date.

Is it possible to register the Cabe-Verde islands.

I have been there during 2 weeks on a holliday and I managed to get some serials of some euro-notes.

There are the following islands:
St Antão
St vicente
St Nicolau
Sal
Boavista
Brava
Santiago
Maio
Fogo

All these island have differente coordinates. The capital (Praia) is located on the island Santiago. Which has the following coordinates:

Lat: 14:55:27N (14.9243) Lon: 23:31:06W (-23.5184)

Best regards,
Bart

Yes, and Cape Verde is now in the list.

Nevertheless I'd like to point out that I'd absolutely, positively prefer to see have the list re-arranged because it's slowly shifting from being just "a mess" to a "nightmare".
