Hey, EBT winter meetings were supposed to start only in 2009, and Paris hasn't announced its candidacy yet.

Maybe you should spent your next holidays on german highways, might be cheaper ;)
Yeah, while cheaping in a Stau you can be sure that you will neither consume that much expensive benzine/diesel or get a speeding ticket ;)

But there is still the chance to get one for insufficient distance...
Btw, as of today the prices have gone up. But compared to Italy or so, its still a bargain here.

Happy New Year to everybody. Let's hope that the new year will bring us back to the "good old times"; i.e. before christmas.

Haaahh, thought that the new year would bring about the next bad surprise: I have tried to log in but "server was not found". :( Oooh, what the hell was that? .com has worked, but not .eu.

Well, maybe I had a glass too much; when typing eurobilltrracker.eu, the server certainly could not be found...

EDIT: It is indeed worth mentioning that he graph is showing notes entered per day.

I said I'd make a graph some day. I think it looks quite good now:
Image

From the combined value you can see that users have not fled EBT because of the hassle. However, since most of the notes entered to com are also entered in eu, the combined value should be considered lower than on this graph. Therefore, I don't think we've made a record with the amount of entered notes on the 27th. The height of the dot is only a statistical error.

If you look VERY closely, you can also see the blue line is slightly lower than the yellow/pink line. That is the amount of notes the users have asked to be deleted from the .eu database. So, luckily the impact hasn't been very bad :)
For days until 23.12. I have used values from .com, because Philippe hasn't deleted any entries despite the requests and .com's numbers thus show the amount of notes that were actually entered those days. On .eu the notes removed from database can't be seen in the notes entered per day -graphs.

It's the numer of notes enter per days ?
Can you also have an extrapolation of the numbers of notes user refused to enter in both sites ?
Nombre de hits simple : 71 dont 50 internationaux et 3 sans découverte en France.
Nombre de triple hits : 1
Meilleur classement mondial : 318
Meilleur classement national : 13

Well.. In theory you could think that the pink line shows the notes the users have refused to enter on .eu and the blue line shows the notes the users have refused to enter on .com.
However, because most of the .com notes are also entered on .eu, the reality differs from this theory.

I think I can show some kind of lines if I do some assumptions..
Let's assume that half of the people entering in .com are double-enterers. That way, we could have a number of some kind.. However, that graph will only have fun-value and no statistical value, because it's based on guesswork!

Dakkus,

if i read correctly, yok's is aking for data of the people who are waiting what will happen and are not entering notes on any of the two sites, but only in excel

start mailing around to everyone to ask in which situation they are

From the above graph it appears that their amount is comparable to the amount removed from EBT by request. In other words, those amounts wouldn't make a difference in the graph. If they were important in a graph like this, the yellow line should be a lot lower. The daily input in .com is tens of thousands of banknotes and the daily refusal should thus be in thousands in order to be visible in a graph like this. And apparently it is only a couple of hundred notes per day.
Which means the people who want to play it safe by holding the notes back are not harming the hobby because their number is low enough. Which, I gather, is quite a good thing for them :)

@Yok's:
If you didn't mean what DrGreenTom guessed you did, please mention me.
I'm having problems with an MS excel bug with negative numbers and I will not continue making the graph before I know for sure you are meaning what I thought and not what DGT thought.
(Unfortunately I cannot install OpenOffice.org, which would work better than MS Excel, on this computer because this computer isn't mine..)

Right !!!

I Think we can found this data with an average between notes enters before 24/12 per days and notes enter after this.
For me there are only few people entering notes on .com but most of EBTEer enter notes in both sites or are wainting for a solution before entering notes.

I am not convinced that it is a good way to satisfy everybody :?
It is better that everybody agrees with the chosen solutions.
