Re: Rare Euro banknote
Today, the Luxemburg Central Bank made its annual report 2008 public;
it states they have produced 13,2 million
in 2008; these notes have been printed by Delarue.
If you are looking for these notes, they are the
H006/L260, and they are quite hard to find!
(the E003/ L250-L259 are the real finnish notes produced in 2007)
(the G005-G006 / L261-L283 are the real finnish notes produced in 2008)
(still no finnish notes produced in 2009 found)

Re: Rare Euro banknote
I believe the P/L were the 2006 Finnish notes. I remember seeing this once on the forum, but I can't remember were it is.Dioniz wrote:What aboutP/L? Mine are P245, P247, P249.
And I've looked for it, here it is:
http://forum.eurobilltracker.com/viewto ... 27#p652227" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Though he turned out to be wrong about the H/L's and I was wrong, P/L were the 2005 Finnish
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

Re: Rare Euro banknote
(Because this is one of the things about the euro that interests me, and I don't know if the info all together can be found somewhere else.)
This is a list of where the Luxembourg banknotes were printed, according to the annual reports of the Luxembourg Central Bank, with my conclusion after the arrow (->).
Trichet Signature:
2009 - There should be
this year.
2008 - printer H, 13,3 million
-> H/L
2007 - printer G, 9,6 million
-> G/P (The Netherlands also printed
in 2007)
2006 - printer H, 10,2 million
-> H/L (Likely only the H002, as Finland printed
in 2004)
2005 - printer F, 4,8 million
-> F002/N
2004 - printer R, 1,9 million
-> R/X (Similar to 2007, Germany also printed
in 2004)
If I'm correct, notes printed 2003 and before have Duisenberg's signature:
2003 - printer R, 1,9 million
-> R/X (Similar to 2007 and 2004, Germany also printed
in 2003)
2002 - printer D, 30 million
-> D/L (A surprise, at least to me. These are probably the D002/L
, or part of it; Finland printed
a year later)
Pre-introduction: I cannot find it.

Re: Rare Euro banknote
So, if I'm not wrong, this mean that if Luxembourg decided to use its serial numbers starting with R, we should now have in circulation notes with these combinations:R/J wrote:(Because this is one of the things about the euro that interests me, and I don't know if the info all together can be found somewhere else.)

printer H, 13,3 million -> H006/L260
2007 -

printer R, 1,9 million -> R/X (Germany also printed R/X in 2003, so ???)

For the introduction, they signed contracts with G and R (only for the

6 million G/P
3 million R/X
13 million G/P

Re: Rare Euro banknote
Just one thing to add: for these shortcode will be G007 or possibly even higher.fcbruges wrote:2009 -Will be/have been printed by G; serial will begin with P, F, G or H (or who knows R?!!)
Edit: and a small comment on the H/L
Edit2: To Al s'é pers: Yes you are correct, with the addition of the pre-introduction G/R

Re: Rare Euro banknote
yes, there should be H006 / L261 as well, but I have not seen them until now. The first G / L reported so far start at G / L262.
By the way, I have not figured out the numberingsystem of these H/L yet; did anyone get this?
Hopefully we will see R-notes in the future; but there probably will have to be a change in the Luxemburg constitution first!?
It appears that there is an article in the Luxemburg constitution, whitch is interpreted in such a manner that Luxemburg cannot print any "Luxemburgian" (is this correct??) banknotes without the Grand-Duc being printed on them.
This is also the case with the Eurocoins; just have a look at the common commemorative 2€-coins (2007 - Treaty of Rome; 2009 - 10 years of EMU) with that little addition to the common design showing the Grand-Duc's profile.
