Can you please take a closer look why NIG doesn't show MUNICH AIRPORT as MUNICH ?

zip code 85356 , wrote down as MUNICH but doesn't appear in the Germany biggest cities list

kevertje, I have seen this question many times now. The airport of München is NOT in München itself, and therefore it's not in the ranking of top 20 cities. The postalcodes makes the difference, not the way of writing. All locations with postalcodes between 80000 and 81929 will be in the top 20 Germany as München.

kevertje, het vliegveld van München ligt nu eenmaal niet in de stad München zelf, en komt daarom niet voor in de top 20 van steden in Duitsland. Alleen postcodes tussen 80000 en 81929 komen hier namelijk als München in voor. Vanaf het centrum is het ruim 40 km naar het vliegveld, een fenomeen wat wel vaker voor komt.

There are 439 Landkreis and kreisfreie Städte of which Stadtverband Saarbrücken, Saar-Pfalz-Kreis and Landkreis Konstanz have 2 different number plates.

So if everything were right NIG should say there are 442 Landkreise and kreisfreie Städte. I have just noticed there may be mistakes in Hessen and Sachsen-Anhalt.
I have found the mistakes :

Hessen : Main-Kinzig-Kreis has two different number plates, HU (Hanau) and MKK
Saarland : Saarpfalz-Kreis had two different number plates, HOM and IGB
Sachsen-Anhalt : some lines can be removed :

06258;Schkopau=Landkreis Oberhavel (MQ) is already mentioned in 06258;Schkopau=Landkreis Merseburg-Querfurt (MQ)

38835;Aue-Fallstein=Landkreis Weringerode (HBS) is already mentioned in 38835;Aue-Fallstein=Landkreis Halberstadt (HBS)
38836;Aue-Fallstein=Landkreis Halberstadt (HBS) is already mentioned in 38836;Aue-Fallstein=Landkreis Halberstadt (HBS)

After these changes I got 439 Landkreisen and Kreisfreie Städter (with combined number plates for 4 Kreisen, including the two mentioned before)

my modified codes_germany.txt is now available online

I also created codes_moldova.txt. But well, I personally entered ALL notes tracked in Moldova.

1. When comes a new version (latest 9 November).
2. Can cities not be listed alfabetical, not the numbers of notes.

Rubia will fix that at a later stage. If you don't have too many hitpartners just remove that tag manually.

I'll think there is a new version
On Rubia's / Bobtails site you can now download NIG16

EDIT: I think Yli has added the Postcodes by the hocations by himself
I can't find them in my stats

Yes, I have added the postal codes of The Netherlands and Belgium myself.... just like some other (incomplete) codes

First installment of the dates bingo is now ready (see here).

The custom flags for provinces/districts (sub groups) can now be specified so that they work both in HTML and BBCode versions. I haven't updated codes_german.txt, because I don't know if the version I got is the most current. Listing and linking the non-euro country code files on the NIG download page might be a good idea, so they can be found better (that is, if I can find them..).

Next NIG update should occur at the latest 01.07.2007 (or it's a dry spell )

Not sure what you mean, but you should be able to get rid of the default words by editing the external word list (nig_wordlist.txt). It's a new feature that is still under construction. If NIG can't find nig_wordlist.txt, it'll revert back to the pizzas and kebabs.

I've downloaded the latest NIG.zip file and the us-codes list but I don't see the States in the USA.
Any idea what's wrong ?
