I didn't have time to properly say goodbye to everybody on Sunday, as I had an ATM to visit in Ferrara before the train left :)

(in the end, we (Eddy and myself) beat the Maltese trackers and Math Murderer to the station, despite the detour :))

So, thank you very much to the organisation of WEBTM09!!! Grazie mille, mi amici Italiani! Hope to see you again in Vienna!

BTW, I went to the Banca d'Italia in Bologna today, and left 100+ fivers and 100+ tenners from the Netherlands, in exchange for UNC :note-50:'s (J044 S). So please find my Dutch notes back!

I just arrived from Bologna. I wish to say thank you very much to the organizers who did a great job. Grazie ai miei amici italiani :D

I hope not to many trackers had to suffer from the strike of the gound staff at Bologna airport.

eddydevries wrote:Also today was a fine day (allthough the weather wasn't what I suspect of Italy :wink: :D ), but what I said here already: it gives us something to remind this meeting: it's not an "average" meeting :lol: .

But tomorrow, on my way home again, I'll have to stop again in Ferrera :( : I think, I left my blocnote there in the restaurant :oops: . Most of my notes, I already copied here, but I'm not sure if they're all of them :x .

However:
Thanks to the organising team.
Early this year the idea was, the "Winter-meeting" would be smaller than the "Summer-meetings", but with this amount of participants you can call it a "small meeting".
I went back to the restaurant yesterday. It was open and the waitress who helped us was there again. She recognized me of being part of the group (I don't know if it's a good sign when someone recognizes you, but that's another matter :wink: ), but my blocnote wasn't found (She cleaned the room herself, so asking others didn't work too).
It might be lying somewhere in Bologna, but it's a big question 'Where????' (it's no use for searching here).
Because I think I entered all the notes, I'm only missing my notes about where I spent which note.
The most work I have to do again is making the list of my untracked villages in the Netherlands.

It had one advantage: I DID see a sunny Ferrara :wink: :D .

But this all caused such a delay I arrived in Vienna at about 2 o'clock last night :x .

Now I'll enter all the notes to prefend causing reversed hits.

OK, so that may explain why it took an hour from arriving at the airport to checking in (despite only three people before me in the queue). And for sure it explains a TV crew filming the lines in front of the check-in desks and interviewing some "official looking person" (did anybody from Bologna see me on TV? 8).

Did you show an EBT-sign or something similar to the camera?

So, please send you pics too. I don't believe Schlauchen is the only one who made photos :)

Just back from the sunny Italy... ha-ha-ha. Thank you organisers and fellow participants! Plenty of new dots, exotic coins, good food, pieces of history, nice company, even new nationalities attending EBTMs... what else do you need? This winter meeting idea started as a "light" version of the but how it was carried out showed that organisers really took the task seriously. The planning, program and general helpfulness of Italian users made it easy to discover not only Bologna but its surroundings. Grazie, and more importantly, arrivederci!

After a delayed flight, I'm at home.

Also from me (and as a former EBTM-organiser) a big thank you for the successfull first W-EBTM. In my eyes you all did a splendid job!

Visited many nice places, good food eaten, talked to many people (old and new)...

My personal highlights...
Thursday (On my own)
*Bologna at night
Friday (Pré-meeting):
* Gigantic Pizza
* Irish Pub
Saturday (Meeting):
* Lovely Nathalie as a guide. She was the smallest of us, but somehow did manage to guide a group of 40 people.
* Restaurant with all bolognese cuisine
Sunday (Meeting):
* Train to Ferrara
* Coffee
* Ferrara's X-masspeciality (don't know the exact name)
* Irish pub (again!)

Monday (on my own)
* Visit of the old university
* Icecream on piazza maggiore
* Irish pub (again!)

Conclusion:
Had a wonderfull time in Bologna/Ferrara. Thanks to the organisers and my new/old fellow ebtfriends!

back from Bologna a couple of minutes ago.

First of all I would like to thank the organisers and all the EBTers for such a wonderful experience. It was GREAT meeting some of you there. I hoped to catch up with some others more than I did. Being my first time at a meeting I can say that you're all wonderful people.

We arrived on Friday and joined the group for a pizza whose diameter was about 3 inches more than that of the plate itself.

Saturday, we went dothunting in the morning and arrived late due to a train delay.

Sunday, after Ferrara we went to have dinner, leaving a note on the bill with the reasons why we were in Bologna.

Monday, went to San Marino dot and note hunting, with ended up also as coin hunting as I managed to get a roll of new San Marino 20c coins :D apart from some 30 notes from there.

Today (tuesday) a day of travelling - Bologna - Rome - Fiumucino Airport - Reggio di Calabria airport and finally Malta.

now off to bed with memories that I will never forget, thanks to EBT and its members.

We arrived home yesterday evening but I was to tired to do anything but eat and go to sleep. Today I had to work allready so finally I can start entering the notes I got during the rather cold and wet meeting. I found it a very good meeting. Nice people, great food. On monday we drove by car to San Marino and on the way back stopped at the racetrack in Imola(could'nt help myself :oops: ) were I was a bit dissapointed because there were old ferrari's doing fast laps but by the time I got out of the car to get some pictures they stopped. :evil:
