This morning, I got 34 notes directly from the Banco de Portugal counter, which came from a machine.

It's not that uncommon to find gaps in the numerationm probably due to notes that were selected for special quality controls, or notes that just didn't pass the general quality controls.

What happened here (apart from that) is different and I had never seen it before. A whole sequence was interrupted by
  1. one note some 50 numbers up in the sequence, and then
  2. two notes from a different sequence — well, the same sequence but with a different printer plate position and therefore some different digits within the serial number, according to the scheme used for Europa V/V tenners
Are these kinds of jumps unusual or are the folks who get big bundles of mint notes used to them?

By the way, the seria number digits corresponding to the printer plate position are here: VAxxPPxxxxxx (C4 > 68, G3 > 93 in my notes).

Also, at Banco de Portugal I asked if they had any other Europa :note-10: apart from V/V. They took their time to check and answered that those were the only ones they had.

Hi,

For V/V notes the positions depends, if it's the same than :note-5: , on the FOUR first digits.

VAPPPPxxxxxx.

So, if it's VA0068 : C4 is good - VA0093 = G3 indeed :) and, if my calculations are good : VA0107 = I1. All these notes are on "charge 02" (VA0054 - VA0107). "Charge 01" = VA0000 - VA0053.

Greetings from :flag-be: :D

I've been to Barcelona branch of Banco de España. Needed only five minutes to get my first set of bills. Only four were sequential.
One of them is already flying to Amsterdam.

I'm glad to verify that Portugal has at least Europa :note-10: from two different printers. In Lisbon, they're V/V, but in Évora they're E/E (http://eurobt.eu/notes/?id=143699114" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

In Klagenfurt (Austria) was not possible enter new :note-10: before 08:05, because OeNB opened at 08:05 :D :D

And all is N002/NA.

So what kinds of short codes these new :note-10: have? I know the printers but is it all mostly 001s?

No entries of new :note-10: in :flag-si: so far. I haven't been in any bank yet, so I don't know if they are avaiable. But I heard in the news they came from French national bank. This article proofs this (all serials allready sent to bren via PM): http://www.siol.net/novice/gospodarstvo ... _10_e.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It seem that there are not Europa tenners in circulation in Finland yet. I'm going to bank today but yesterday there weren't any Europa :note-10: .

For new tickets Europa :note-10: is best to go to the national bank. I think in normal banks and shops even here soon...
