my impression is that the new 10 eur is taking over more rapidly that it did the new 5eur (here in Malta)
probably because the 10eur is available through ATMs - here ATMs do not give 5eur

oh God I would have said the contrary! Here (close to Venice ) I haven't found any europa yet, and I have asked in 2 different banks! instead I remember europa fivers got very common after a few days...

Same here in southern Italy: I haven't seen the new 10€ yet, but I didn't ask in any bank or the post office.
I hope to see them in less than a month as happened with the 5€ note.

So far which are the countries which have printed and those have not been distributed to any other country? (Yet)

I have seen only Y001 and Y002 around so far, both YA, but nothing else.

The only out-of-place bill I've seen is a french teen in Barcelona. From a french tourist. It is UA, but... U006!!!
It was ten days after day one.
In the case of fivers, I got one Italian the very first day, just after having lost 45 minutes in Banco de España to get 30 new europabills.

In , the mix between "2002" ones and "EUROPA" ones begins... In CINEY (Belfius Bank and BNP Paribas Fortis Bank local branches), the ATM delivers a mix of "2002" ones, UNC and used, with "EUROPA" ones, also UNC and used ones.

With some new tenners you can really see, where have the notes been put into circulation. If you find a Greek tenner (new one) outside the Greece, you can be quite sure that it has been in Greece. Same thing with Irish notes. Of course you can't know the original place where the note has been put in circulation with, for example, French notes, but it's interesting that it's possible with some notes.

I'm still not so sure about that.

For instance, on the very first day of circulation, I went to our central bank (Banco de Portugal) and acquired 34 Europa . They were V/V. I asked them if they had any other letter on their tenners; they took quite some time to do something (checking? deciding on how to answer?) and finally answered that all the notes they had were in fact V/V. Since that day, more than 500 Europa were registered in Portugal and only after two weeks another V/V was registered. Now, there's only 35 V/V registered in Portugal.

Another example, much less convincing but intriguing nonetheless: on the fifth day of circulation, I registered one U/U. This was the third one registered in Portugal. It came from the cashier in a coffee shop where they know I track notes and it was one of their first Europa . They knew exactly who had given them the note, who was a regular client. It was already the third U/U registered in Portugal so I didn't think it would be rare, I just thought it would eventually surface, just like my V/V. It turns out that only another one has been registered since, making it only four U/U in Portugal so far.

What about S/S found in Germany (83 at the moment)? Did they really travel from Italy or is that a similar case to my V/V tenners?

I recently found some brand new E/E in a french ATM. As far as I'm aware, Oberthur doesn't have any contract with the Banque de France (which usually prints its notes by itself, making them U/U -- I found some of them too). So I would say there must have been quite a mix in the new packs and boxes.

So far then is it just Greece and Ireland which have printed and released their own 2014 notes and have not sent them for circulation anywhere else in Europe?
Even here in Athens, from what I have seen so far, there must have been only a few even PRINTED, as there are only Y001/Y002, and NO serial so far greater than YA17. No YBs, YCs etc, and nothing larger than 17...

I confirm that the circulation of the new notes has started here in Athens.

But after today (got 23 unc E-E) I´ll stop taking Europas for a while and ask for old ones, I can already tell they´ll (the E-E) will soon become a pest much like the U-U003 already are (they have been a very nasty pest for a while now). What ever you do were ever you go, the U-U003 are everywhere!

In 2 weeks on holidays in Greece and Italy I haven't a single Europa in circulation, while in Slovenia they do appear from time to time. I didn't go to any bank over there, but a few ATMs I used didn't give tenners at all, only , which I guess makes the difference, as here every ATM has them and anywhere I've tried, they are now new ones.
BTW, since October those ATMs of the largest bank (NLB) where you can deposit money, started excepting all denominations (previously only 10-100)

On another note, it appears that some serial numbers don't run as expected, from e.g. SA0-SA9 and then SB0 etc. instead I got such serials from consecutive withdrawals where xxx and yyy are identical:
