Hi!

I found it too... in Slovenia :)
Here is a picture of it:

I can't believe either. :)
Is this only a picture or is it actually "the" coin you found?
It's still in good shape, isn't it?

This is a picture I found on-line .. I didn't take a picture of the coin. But I must say the coin I found isn't in as bad a condition as I would expect it to be (some coins in circulation are in much worse condition).

I'm a little surprised after reading all of your posts. It seems that Slovenia and especially capital Ljubljana is a paradise for collecting euro coins.

Almost every type of coin from all the euromembers zone can be found here except 1c and 2c Finland (not at all in circulation as far as I know). Next a little bit easier to find but still rare are 1c Greece and 1c & 2c Portugal. But it is just the question of time when you'll get them.

Regardless of denomination around 40% of all coins are Slovenian, 20% or even more are German, approximately 20% are Italian and Austrian (both together) and the rest are all the other countries in this order: France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Finland. There are of course some years of issue that are very hard to find.

Regardless of denomination? That's interesting, because over here I've noticed that there's almost no diffusion at all for the coppers.

im noticing that here in Malta, the Dutch 1c and 2c are very common - i know that the Netherlands does not use them anymore - so most prob they found their destiny in sunny malta :D

Maybe I didn't use most suitable expression. With "regardless of denomination" I ment that my (very approximate) statistics consider all coins as a sum of all denominations together ("regardless of denomination").

I can also confirm that here also is much less diffusion for the coppers than for 10c-2€ coins.

I recently emptied my piggy-bank and brought the coins to the bank. Just for fun I thought I'd see what the break-down of coins was. No real surprises though:

Total: 405 coins
:flag-ie: 311
:flag-it: 33
:flag-es: 21
:flag-de: 15
:flag-fr: 10
:flag-be: 4
:flag-pt: 4
:flag-at: 3
:flag-gr: 2
:flag-nl: 2
:flag-lu: 1
:flag-cy: 0
:flag-fi: 0
:flag-mt: 0
:flag-si: 0
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I have never seen any 1ct and 2ct lions.
And you won't probably see any, because Finnish 1 c and 2 c aren't issued as circulation coinage.

Then again, the Irish coins seem to be very much easier to find in Finland than in Germany. Wonder what's the reason for that.
