Summer EBTM09: Live @Vienna

I just got home, and tomorrow I will enter the remaining notes from Bratislava and the rest. Somehow I managed to run into Fons and BhoeyB in a gas station in Germany.

I must agree with Burky, It's not the number of notes I entered during this meeting that I will remember, but all the people I've met. And I'm sorry for not getting to know each and everyone of you, but there where so many people. It's really nice to know the faces behind the user names.

Once again I would like to say Thanks to the organizers of this unforgettable meeting. It was just perfect and I doubt if there ever will be a better organized meeting. Hopefully there will be a wintermeeting, and I'm hoping for the one in Lapland .

I was not lost on my way home. And in 6 hours I will be already at work...

Hello everyone,

I also wanna thank the organisation for making it possible to do the meeting in wonderfull Vienna en the nice and good programm
I closed Vianna in my heart, what a beautiful city.

Every time i met new people, ofcourse it is easy to talk in your own language, but it also nice to speak Englisch and German, although it isn´t easy to do both. You get very tired of this hahah.. Everytime you speak to new´faces´and wil remind you to the next meeting, like Ah, it is nice too see him/her again for al longer conversation.

Back in Amsterdam i feel i am back from 2 weeks holiday(although it was 4,5 day) , Thank you all.

unfortunately i could only take part on thursday. an ugly virus knocked me out for the rest of our summit very effectivly.

i read all these posts with a lot of pleasure. i was really pissed of to miss all the opportunities to meet you on friday and saturday. but hopefully, there will be another chance next year. see you!

I just arrived home, after a great meeting. Well done Vienna!

My personal highlights of the meeting and my stay in Vienna. In random order

* Professional organisation of the meeting
* Holding a goldbar of 12,5 kilo's in my hand at the national bank
* Seeing "real" fake notes
* Hunting for a starterskit of coins in Bratislava
* As a result missing the train by 1 minute
* Taking funny pictures with statues in Prater
* Visiting the Sigmund Freud Appartment
* Visiting the Schönbrunn Tiergarten and seeing lazy giant panda's. Now, I know why they are getting extinct
* Meeting new people
* Meeting "old" people
* Having fun with the Slovenians especially the Lonapo-"twins"
* Visited 4 different Starbucks
and last but certainly not least, get elected as member of the board. Thank you!

As you can see, a lot of highlights. This citytrip/meeting brought me memories for a lifetime.

I got also back to my mothers place and tomorrow I will drive last 250 kilometers to my home. It was a pleasure to meet all of you and scrape some rust out of my english vocabulary. Also I was able to hear "some" deutch for a first time in ages and able to try to listen a bit how much I had it's knowledge left, and was it still understandable for me. Well, it wasn't anywhere near that anymore.

But anyhow, it was a really nice meeting. Thanks to everybody, especially to each of the organizers who did an astounding amount of work for this weekend!

Same for me, and I'm already thinking about organizing a meeting myself. Perhaps a national meeting first, and maybe an international one in the
future. But be aware this is not a promise, just a thought .

Today we parted from Vienna and now I'm writing from an awfully slow computer at a hotel in Klagenfurt
Thanks also from my side to all the organizers, it's a pity that I couldn't thank jack_isidore personally (hope you're well again...)
This morning we paid our hotel in 5ers (526 euro). The poor apprentice got a bit distracted, in fact she had to count them three times . In all the trouble she forgot to ask for our room key cards, we discovered that only in the dot of Thörl near Graz .
Well, we sent them by mail, hoping the austrian mail doesn't loose letters too often!
This afternoon we had the chance to test that machine which exchange notes for free in Klagenfurt . A good chance to get rid of two brand-new bundles
Maybe we "casually" pass that bank tomorrow morning, they also have a free coffee automat...
