@ Fons: Of those places, Greenland is not so expensive as you might think. It is heavy subsidized by Denmark so prices in shops are almost the same as in Copenhagen. Travelling IN Greenland is expensive because there are no connecting roads and you have to take ferries or flights. However if you limit yourself to 3 - 4 places than it is no big deal: Camping is free, you can walk everywhere and you will be able to take some excursions.

Iceland is expensive, but like any place, it matters how you want to spend your time/money.
