"Europa": 2nd series of euro banknotes

Brand new sequential Europa notes, today here in Athens. All SC/S005.

Indisputably the new notes are beautiful with great colours.

The big surprise is the window, near the top of the hologram, that becomes transparent when you look it against the light and reveals the portrait of Europe! It is totally amazing and a masterpiece!

I've never seen anything like this before in a note!

On my computer this is much more interesting, because it's dynamic: specific data is highlighted whenever I hover the mouse over a node. (Nodes are printer facilities as origins and countries as destinations.) It's also possible to make an animation of flow over time if data is available — but I'm not going to do it now.

This was really easy to do. The instructions are simple and clear. Collecting the geographical data was the only fastidious task.

Technical details:

• EBT data from avij's file "first-20e-europa-notes.txt" (grabbed Tue Dec 8 00:48:23 EET 2015).
• Coordinates for country centroids and for locations of printing facilities were collected from several sources (and uploaded to My Drive in case someone else wants to make use of it).

yes, I have entered 9 pcs of this combination

First group of 20 twentiers logged. Unluckily not all belonging to one batch, with only pairs, trios or one set of four sequential. All of them from printing plate V001 and serial numbers VA00* or VA000*.

Serial number writing box in red, but logged correctly.

EDIT:

I cleared Historial and Caché, tried again,
and serial number writing box went green.

ALL CORRECT.

The first and second day I logged 20 bills each day.
All were V001, with serial numbers varying from VA0001*** to VA006***.

But everything else I got, was from passegers who paid me. For three times they gave me R008/RA59*** bills, and all three told me they had gotten the bills in ATMs in Barcelona.

Actually, the ECB might have borrowed the window from the Bank of Latvia - our 100 and 500 LVL banknotes had a similar feature since 2007/08
