Have you ever used a 500 euros note?

Fons' avatar remided me: I have used 500€ bills, but I never ever got a 200€ bill. I acutally don't see the need for such a note (and neither a 20€ note)

In Belgium almost everyone pays with €20, it's the smallest denomination that comes out of an ATM. We used to have a not of 1000 BEF, or 25 EUR. But I agree for the 200 note.

I never used a 500 Euro note Only once I changed a 200 Euro biljet in a shop. the customer before me payed with that biljet

I have never used a 500 (or a 100 or a 200). In fact strangely enough I don't think I have ever had any of these denominations in my hands before.

It's funny, because I never did. But then I was on the messenger with a friend so I asked if he had some notes, so he gave some 10s, 20s and 50s and then a 500. So I sad, you probably mean a 50, no he said this is a real 500, I need to go out tonight you know. Hahaha, it's was one of my first.

I have entered 12 notes of 500 euro, each time 1 at the beginning of the month because I got my salary cash paid.

I firstly let those notes change in the bank, and than I put the money in the machine, so I don't use them to pay for something.

I entered my first 500 bill last week when my brother used it to make the first payment on his new (second hand) car.

The only other time I got hold of a 500 bill was before I knew about EBT in the beginning of 2004 when I used it for the same reason as my brother did last week.
