For your information -- EBT has been configured to accept A-F as the 2nd character of the serial number. If the serial number is of the form xGnnnnnnnnnn (or higher), it won't be accepted. If you run into a serial number that is not accepted, let us know and we'll adapt the limitations accordingly.

Another limitation is that we currently accept only Europa banknotes with a matching printer code and a serial number. If we start getting other combinations, we can relax this limitation. This will keep our database a little bit tidier.

I thought I read somewhere that all new notes will only use one letter, where they were printed, so this may never happen.

Now, see if I can pass a bank later today that dispenses :note-5: (and likely get old notes...)
My NIG stats have finally disappeared. My EBTST stats are still available.

Looking the first entries, it seems first letters of serial numbers will remain the same (N=Austria, S=Italy, U=France, V=Spain and Z=Belgium), and the first letter of short code is the same of the serial number.

It seems that the second letter and the first digit of serial number point directly to the position into the printing sheet, as like as the last two characters of the short code (I can see only some italian -S- and french -U- numbers, until now)

It seems, that this depends again on the printer:

for the :flag-at: N-notes the shortcode position is coded at the third and fourth position of the serialnumber instead of the second and third position as it was by the old notes:

NA57xxx is position G5 and NA67xxx is position G6

It appears that the "Import note data" function does not work when accessed via the Advanced note entry form. It does work when using the Expert note entry form. Sorry about this. I'll try to get this fixed as soon as possible, but I need to be away from keyboard for the next 1,5 hours or so.

Here's the video for whomever missed the webcast: http://ec.europa.eu/avservices/player/s ... sid=229113" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

ECB definitely needs someone who knows just a little bit about communication. This could have been made look like a major event. Instead, it looks as if Mario Draghi was in Slovakia and just happened to visit a high-school because it was near his hotel.

Hi,

For those interested, I attached 4 photographs of HANDWRITTEN numbering schemes for the new 5€ notes; I am working at this moment.
Could you have a look at them and compare them to your notes.
If they are ok, I will type and attach them tonight
Thanks

In :flag-si: Slovenia there is still a holiday (always 1st + 2nd of May). That's why no new fivers yet.

U and S notes it seems ok, for me.
About N, V and Z notes, I saw too less serial-numbers at now.
