Well, if you read the comment from the first user, she put the URL on the note. That could be the explanation.

de*lerger & an-148 are right, like I stated in the comment to that hitnote I stamped it cause it was taped badly and was going to be distroyed as soon as it hit the bank anyway.
The obvious reason is like an-148 already figured, to gain new users.
I have looked it up, and here are the results of my note-stamping:

Notes with a stamp: 216
Gained users: 12
Total number of notes inserted by these users: 692
Eventhough none of them have turned into 'powerusers' (yet), I still think it's worth the effort and expense (stamp cost me 4,95

)

I did`nt think to ask people to register the note.But when I start stamping again, I will have a go.
My last hit must be from a stamped note,it is my oldest passive hit so far ,and I am very happy to get it.
