ebt needs to wake up, it's five before noon !!!!!!!!!
The friendly shit is moderated for now and is under investigation. Please feel free to report more 'shit' when you see it occuring.
See the previous 1000+ pages of this thread. Friendly hits are reported fairly often, but sadly most of the times nothing happens (example here).

wrong! you can delete all personal data, so you have only anonymous bill data.

only personal data are protect by law.
The hits of Beaweb can easily be identified even when they are made anonymous as they mostly have Berlin as city.
Untrue. You can only identify them when you know they are from Beaweb or you have old hit lists on your computer. I wasn't aware that beaweb changed her name to "Ich bin da mal weg" until I read it on the forum. Well, I saw this strange new username, but never connected it to beaweb.
What's more: anonymyzing usernames is also useless as they still retain their id. Again: when you have older information downloaded from EBT, you can easily connect the username to this anonymous entry.
But then again: what is less anonymous from only a name (most use not their real name anyway) and an id? The basic premisse that someone on EBT is not anonymous is wrong. I only know the people I met in real life. Everyone else I don't know and are therefore anonymous.
If they are not anonymous, you could go visit the fakers in person.
We see the data of the users as the intellectual property of the users. So when someone still decides to erase all their bills - after we asked to reconsider it - we will comply.
I think this needs to be discussed on a basic level. I post on a different forum where the standpoint is that forumposts are made property of the forum. I think EBT needs to do that too: when you enter a note, that entry becomes property of EBT. I think EBT is making a big mistake by removing a million correct notes.

that's what I repeat steadily since the begin of the story ............. nobody cares about !! We are preaching in the desert (and anyway, it's now too late: the destruction work is done) !! poor ebt, it's not enough to have the "natural" decline we see since 2009, now the "thinking heads" of ebt are destroying it "ex cathedra" !

I'm aware that is not the thread for this discussion but I'm afraid which way EBT takes! Once again a really hit of mine (beaweb) is deleted! I don't agree to delete 1 million notes (real entries!) on a simple request of the person who entered them. The notes are no personal data, they do not belong to beaweb! They belong to government who issued them! I don't give my approval to delete this notes because at least 50% of the hit with beaweb belongs to me! In the case of a faker I can consent that all the notes were deleted even the really ones! As I'm multilingual I can follow up the discussions in the different threads. I am shocked about the tone some discussions are conducted (accusation of fakers!). Also I have the feeling that the forum is for power user an experts and not for such little members like me! If EBT continues like this, I'am sure, than this interesting project will sooner or later die! I'm at the point to stop my entries of notes! I do apologize for having used this thread, which in my opinion is the more visited, but I must let off steam!

Best regards from Luxembourg
Claude

We have reached an agreement with beaweb to have her notes restored from our database backups. She will be back with us by tomorrow.

Now, can we move on with our lives and keep this topic for the suspicious notes and users? Thank you.

It's a very good new :D
If an agreement was not found, EBT would die !
And I specify that I am not concerned with her hits. I realized no hit with beaweb.

She plays with EBT all the time. Other name, other place, other user. I am curious when the next problem with her is coming.

good news ... and maybe the best moment to take a definitive decision about property of the database (not the bills or whatever else, but simply the database, nothing more, nothing less)

It is a great day for Nauru, that is for sure.

I believe that beaweb should take this second opportunity that was given, and avoid requesting the deletion of registered bills in the future. Only harm comes to the EBT community from that.
