Latvia will adopt the euro on the 1st January 2014, however, starter kits containing Latvian euro coins will be available from 10th December 2013
we expect lot of Latvian euro coins in Estonia

Today someone paid in my shop with a LV-2 Euro

In Germany.
I wonder how the coin comes down here so fast, it's not an international business center nor a big tourist site, just a small town in the woods

Maybe it was bought for collection and then spend by mistake

I got Latvian 1€ coin as a change money in RIMI supermarket in the centre of Tallinn, Estonia yesterday. It's very beautiful and shiny. Very unexpected to see Latvian coin in the circle so soon.

Latvians are more than proud of their Milda (1 and 2 euro) coins. So proud that for a month at least both President of the Latvian Bank as well as Finance Minister have repeated that the 1 and 2 euro coins will be the first ones that will need new coins minted in the upcoming years, because of their 'demand'.

So proud that in late December/early January such official introduction campaign posters appeared on streets (it says 'Congratulations with the prettiest coin in the eurozone'

)

We're in the beginning of March, and the first Latvian euro coin has reached my grubby little hands today. Got it in our canteen at work. Happy-happy-happy!

I got Latvian 20 cent coin from my grandmother yesterday

It's unused and so shiny

I hope that it means that banks start to give Latvian coins into circulation in Finland.
