My vote went to Paris, and I will tell you why:
Paris (49%) [ 26 ]
London (3%) [ 2 ]
Madrid (20%) [ 11 ]
Moscow (9%) [ 5 ]
New York (16%) [ 9 ]
Total Votes : 53 (including mine)
Why not:
*New York: I think that if it's gonna be NY, then it will be too much commercial, and what do you think about the openingsceremony, always going back to it's own traditions/history. (First of all, USA don't have a history and second you will be bored with 11/9 again a tragedy which can be solved with sports
)
* Madrid: it's just twenty years after the last 'Spanish' games (1992-2012) so it's quite a short time ago.
*Londen is for infrastructure and Olympic Games (in my opinion) a living hell. How can you ever organise the games (probably outside Londen) and keep all the sporters living close to it. What about all the tourists in London and outside of the city. I repeat, it will be an infrastructurel hell!
*Moscow is in my opinion not ready in 7 years to organise a clear, good and sportive Olympic event. It will be a tournament behind a big communistic idea. Furthermore do I think they don't have the money to build everything (because I don't think they already have all the stadiums.)
*Paris is a nice city, it's been long ago since the last games, and political and financial do I think that they CAN make it.
If you disagree let me know, but this is my opinion,

Well, mostly spanish people was against war (like french or dutch) but our "dear" president of government didn't listen us (I don't kniw if I have explained it ok, my english isn`t very good)Aaron wrote: Anyway, I voted for Paris as France is the only country of the candidates which has been standing against the war in Iraq.
All right, I have voted for Madrid
*Mostly of madrid citizens support the olympic games (more than in another city) We want the games
*Barcelona`92 were the best games in history and people who work there is working now for Madrid (There are only 20 years of difference but L.A. - Atlanta there were 20 years too and it doesn´t happen nothing)
We are ready for you http://www.madrid2012.org

I voted for London although I really think Manchester would be better... we hosted the Commonwealth games in Manchester very successfully in 2002. But we tried to get the Olympics to Manchester in 1996 and failed, so London is the only option in the UK.
But I also agree with some other posters, that London does not have the infrastructure, nor does it have the space, and I really think if London wins, it will not be ready by 2012...
