Banque Directe. It was in the BNP Paribas group. I think it's now belonging to AXA Insurances...
I have the Banque de Montréal, here.

I didn't know Banque Directe was a part of the BNP groupe was it a virtual bank? Did you just use BNP atms? because I never saw a Banque Directe ATM. I had accounts at BNP and Paribas before the major merger.
After the merger I closed the savings and moved to Societe Generale because I need seperate accounts at different banks. If they all merged I would have moved to Caisse D'Epargne. Remember the hostile bids between the banks Olivier?

Yes I remember.

Banque Direct was a virtual bank, actually. I could use any ATM I wished, because I have a Visa card. As you know, there was no fee when you wanted to take money in another bank... BNP Paribas started it this year.

The situation of the European consumers of the banking systems is better than ours... we pay too much, in Canada!

As I work at BNP Paribas, France's biggest bank I know now what BNP ATMs dispenses. In our branch there are 4 atms which 3 dispense cash while the other is a deposit machine. one of them give out 10 and 20 and another gives 100s and 20s and the other gives 20 and 50.

Our BNP atms are filled with crisp notes ususally, but yesterday when our branch got the cash, The Banque de France stopped issuing new notes and began issuing old notes to us. They put the good bills aside and sent us the crap. But I guess having old notes is good thers a chance there will be foreign notes. Because what they used to do when i as a teller years before i moved to Canada the Brinks cars would drop off new notes for the atms and pick up used notes for recycling. So right now all my branch had to give out to customers today over the counter was the crap bills rathere than the crisp notes we usually give out.
