WHO?

Post by bhoeyb »

Who has moderated this: http://www.eurobilltracker.eu/index.php ... 39fdac209e REAL hit   ? I do not like this at all   . It's not a friend hit nor a fake hit. It would be fair to unmoderate it again :!: Thank you.

I don't know who did. Don't be angry.

You know, there will be always problems with moderation if there are not precise criteria... We need a moderation rule.

I unmoderate it...

De rien...

But we should write down the rules of the good moderation, somewhere on the forum.

bhoeyb,

Your was real, I'm sure your not a false user, but the distance was 0 km.
So it's not Interesting so I think that's why it was moderated from the Interesting Hits list.

Good Idea! :o
I think that's the only way to make it clear for everyone.

So it's not Interesting so I think that's why it was moderated from the Interesting Hits list.
Interests are different for all users. It's not fair that only 1 moderator can say if a hit is "interesting".

For me, this hit is interesting because out of my 16 hits, there is only 1 with 0 km. That says most banknotes travel a lot before they get hit. If we moderate all real 0 km hits, you'll never know how many hits are made very close to the first user of that banknote. Than, it looks like all banknotes are traveling for a longer distance before they become a hit. So moderators, be careful!

It was me that moderated it according to my logs (yeah, I log everything!)

I believe that compared to all the other notes in the "interesting list" it is not interesting : the hit distance is 0 and the time between hits is short. I'd rather site newbies see other hits.

It doesn't mean the hit is not interesting to you, I'm sure it is ! I have personally moderated one of my own hits because of this.

It's because it doesn't act as good a selling point as other hits in the database. That list is to show people that we get hits far away in time and distance

This is why I moderated your bill

I think, if you want to show newbies interesting hits (a selling point), you should update the stats at this page. These are the first hit stats newbies see, even before they sign up. The most recent hit is almost 2 months old and there are also 0 km hits showed :? . For a newbie, it looks like hits are almost impossible.

The problem is, that a user that has been waiting for a hit for months and months, and finally has one, finds it moderated ... as if it were not valid.
It upsets the users.

Therefore it may be interesting to use the homepage to display the truly most interesting hits ... (10 or 20)

long distance or long time under, or multiple hit bills ...

And in the stats, for instance the last 20 hits from the moderated hit list.
(or the last 5 pages)

That way nobody should get upset ...
Time is on our side ...

I think that it is a really good idea.

I would also be very upset if a genuine hit was being moderated just because of the fact that it didn't travel long.

I also don't like the "interesting hit" idea... I understand that it is very difficult to maintain a list with only real hits, but who knows what interesting is.....?

It's different for every user!

I'm getting tired of this
There is regularly some discussion going on about moderation policy.
Every discussion ends in the conclusion that we should get clear moderation rules.
Still nothing has happened

I don't understand the discussion. Every is a hit and has to be kept for safe keeping!! The only hits that should be moderated are the false hits.

I think it's fine to make a hitparade of interesting hits. But, as it says on the first page of EBT: we are doing an investigation how EBT evolves. That should also include ALL hits.

I will start a new topic about this where we can discus how and if we want to moderate.
