Ok... I moderate it, so.Antti wrote:Gosh, my 'hit' caused a lot of talk
I agree with the moderation, it's very fake and artificial, incorrect location and a user giving notes to another user (I can only say for myself I didn't know he was going to enter it)
I'll talk to him about this tomorrow. He isn't actually the type to follow all rules and regulations strictly but I think I'll be able to make him get my point
And yes I should have included the date in the comment

Sir, I do not understand, Sir!
Olivier, could you or some other moderator please explain why some hits are considered real and some fake? I'd just like to hear the reasoning behind moderating two out of three of yesterday's new hits and still leaving one. There was a new user who registered only three notes and got a hit with all of them. Why should one of them be real?
Also I'd be curious to know what are the reasons for keeping the following ones on the list.

I agree,
The users from the links that annie-in-exile mentioned hit eachother quite a lot.
That is simply impossible!
And of the 2 out of 3 being moderated... That also looks a bit strange to me.
I have seen before that a couple of fake hits were moderated, ecxept for one...
I think if a couple of hits show up with eachother. All should be moderated!

First, I would like a clear rule that everybody could understand. For the moment, nobody agrees on what a fake hit is.
There is some facts anyway which prevent a bill from scoring a hit:
- if the same person registered it under two different names
- if the two persons know each other and change all their bills. We had this situation in the past: a gang of 8 persons registered their bills all together and we had bills with 8 or 9 hits but with all the same, within a week. :-/
In that case, Antti knows the person who registered his bill. Moreover, the location was false.
I am not focused on the hit list. I check it rarely. I am more interested in the comments, to know what was the story of the bills but most of the time there is no comment on the bills.
Olivir
Because there is enough time to make possible for the bill to travel... It is possible. On the other hand, if we see this happens regularly, it means that the guys know each other. Then, we could moderate it... For anmi and vee it's obvious they know each other. They should be moderated.Annie_in_exile wrote:

But I repeat: we need precise rules that we have not yet, and hits are not what I am most interested in. I have got any hit yet.
I find this suspicious:
retsi inserts a note, it goes to pekka thai and back to retsi in a week.
The same users also got another hit lately, not a triple hit but anyway, just like this one as well, and this one
So after reconsidering I don't find it suspicious anymore, I find it fake

What do the other hit-moderators think about it?Antti wrote:I find this suspicious:

I have not much time to check all the list since I got a new job... :-/

First hit on first note entered... Yeah, right.

Well it could be possible if Monetarus has written or stamped the url of this site on the note. But it will probalby be moderated anyway because the distance and time is too short.rumpelstilsken wrote:First hit on first note entered... Yeah, right.

One person enters 11 notes, another person enters 2 notes, they get a hit.
Note entered twice in teh same night, with not an awful lot of distance between the
locations. I guess they know each other, no ?

:-(
S**t, now I must disqualify my own first hit....
Now this was a 20e note that changed hands between me and ImT yesterday (23.5.), which was also the day I told him about Eurobilltracker and the way it works. Now he has (of course) entered all notes in his wallet, including this one. So I'm not really willing to count it as an interesting hit, although strictly thinking, the note wasn't given from one user to another since he wasn't a user then yet
Anyway, I'll be waiting for that real first hit.
I'm planning to slightly stack the odds in my favour, I've saved up a pile of 5 Euro notes and I'm planning to spend them during a vacation in Germany in July. I'll be using them as I would any other type of money. It's just that since these notes are the smallest kind, they often get redistributed as change, instead of going to the bank. Thus I count on getting at least one hit within one month of visiting Germany.
And I haven't even written the URL of this site on the notes, and probably won't, either.

Nordstern wrote:Hi everybody,
I think there was a hit too much been moderated this morning (27-May):
Between two German users
500 EUR
First found in Berlin
Second found in Radebeul-ost
about 4 months between both dates and about 200 km distance
IMHO a genuine hit.
It has been moderated ? Why?
It's me
I want to enter coordinate for Radebeul-ost and like i do every time i moderate/unmoderate hit to see the distance without waiting.
But there were a problem, solved now ( thanks AVIJ
I try to find this hit, with the "moderate=false" option, but For performance reasons, you cannot go back more than 5 pages

I suppose it was this note, right? It's been unmoderated now, I'll write another message regarding this mess later, I need to go to work now.francky wrote:I try to find this hit, with the "moderate=false" option, but For performance reasons, you cannot go back more than 5 pages
