I have thought that if people think that EBTing is stupid they have to notice that there are other leisure activities really stupid and without a true sense, I begin with:
my personal stupid SPORT hit parade

1) Curling
2)Badminton
3)Handball
4)American football
5)Squash

u can see that a huge number of people do these sports...so maybe nothing is enough stupid if u have fun...

Ok...so I wait 4 u to post other hit parades about other categories or editing mine...

What about Corrida de toros, San fermin en pamplona, that game simiar to horseball made with the head of a goats popular in Afganistan, the pitbull fightings in southern Italy, the dog races, the roosters fightings , the cow fightings in northern Italy,rodeos,The Palio di siena,etc...?

That is the most stupid stuff you could come up with? Apparently you don't like sports with any flying objects

Well, I tried all of those except Curling (which I think can also be interesting although nothing is flying) and don't perceive them as stupid.

I think that sports are like colors, some are the basis and others are just a way to ridiculize yourself doing it

Cycling, Rugby, football, running, basket are some of the fundmental...some others copied them...

I have analized that americans copied european old sports to have in their own country something newer from their original countires.

baseball vs cricket
american football vs rugby
nascar vs formula 1

only ice hockey is original...but they took it from natives

i think about corrida de toros, la fiesta de san fermin, il palio di siena,
la giostra del saracino ( arezzo, city of sud east of florence), or an other
"game" these is nota game but only regional, or tipically folk's show!

Yes but they are leisure activities now...just for tourists, they have lost the truth sense of competion...can we add the "quintana" of Ascoli Piceno?

And squash,badminton an football?
I can't see no stupidity in sports... Curling is not more stupid than petanque, I would say that it's even more difficult...

handball:is it basket or football?
football(the true one, is a primary sport like basket)
squash: 2 crazy person into a room playing like a tennis
badminton:no comment
tennis is a primary sport

petanque are called "bocce" in Italy and it's the favourite sport for old men, it has a social use!
and..petanque is a primary sport which became "bowling" in the USA(thanx to have helped me to add it at my personal list of imported sport in the USA)

anyway...nothing it's stupid if it gives fun!

I think that nothing connected with the ancient culture of a people must be considered "stupid"..."corrida" as well, and buskashi too!

1) Bullfighting is not a sport.

2) It's not stupid; it's cruel, ridicule and innecesary

That's it, you got it! Handball is neither basket nor football because it's handball!!! Not secondary from nothing... No baskets, smaller field, smaller ball, absolutely different rules... It's not derived from basket.
Squash... 2 crazy people in a room playing like tennis... with some differences... no net, outs, as you've said, in a room ... yes, that's it, another sport. They also use rackets and balls, totally different from the tennis ones...
Maybe rugby is secondary of horse ridings (equitation) because all the two are played over grass, according to your rules...
I think you should talk about sports you like and sports you don't. No stupid sports...
And I've seen that you consider "real" sports (basketball, soccer, rugby...) those in which Italy is quite good (or to be said, has been good...)
