SURINAME

Post by bhoeyb »

I've been looking for sites about Suriname on the internet. I've found a very interesting site: http://www.suriname.nu/
I've sent them an email hoping they will promote EBT by mentioning our site on http://www.suriname.nu/ to get more EBTers from Suriname that way 8) .

-edit-
I've contacted http://www.dwt.net too.

I have a complete set of their paper money. I think it is the most beautiful in the world. I wish I had their coins - they look cool too.

No, it's triple - you still put your Suriname notes twice in this thread.

French Overseas Territories

Post by John S »

Everyweek, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) publishes the exchange rates of every country's currency versus the US dollar on earth, whereas their daily rates are for select countries.

Up until recently, non-EU countries, such as Andorra, Vatican, Monaco and San Marino were still shown as using the former currencies (peseatas, francs and lires). They now show them are using euros.

But, the French overseas territories are still listed using francs. I doubt they are, but does someone have concrete evidence they are using euros? The information is supplied to the WSJ from Reuters. Maybe someone needs to contact Reuters and inform them that the old currencies are dead everywhere and have been replaced by the euro.

It would be nice if anyone who posts their euro notes here and comes from any of the overseas territories or has visited any of them can inform us of the situations there.

It is too bad that the Dutch overseas territories chose to use their own currency. If they had used Dutch currency before, they would be using euros now.
