Nah please not. One time is great, but I don't hope there will be many imitations next year in Helsinki..Then it becames the opposite...then it becomes a rock festival and a pop song will winLuigi_Delvecchio wrote:All I can say is: AMAZING![]()

Now it would be great that some other bands of this genre could particpate next year and then the eurovision would gain tle popularity that once had
Me neither. That's very cool!Viperazzi wrote:Can't wait for the Eurovision Song Contest in Hell-sinki in 2007.
Seconded. I knew there was no way they were going to win but I just had to do it. They told us to "vote for the winners" which I couldn't do in Finland so I voted for the funniest songDakkus wrote:I tried to vote for LT United, because I admire a band that has the guts for song like that
Any idea where they're going to host the event? My knowledge of Hellsinki is not that great but I couldn't think of any place big enough for a huge stage and a crowd that doesn't lok pathetically small on TV.Viperazzi wrote:Can't wait for the Eurovision Song Contest in Hell-sinki in 2007.

I think the most probable places are Hartwall-Areena or Helsingin Messukeskus.Antti wrote:Any idea where they're going to host the event? My knowledge of Hellsinki is not that great but I couldn't think of any place big enough for a huge stage and a crowd that doesn't lok pathetically small on TV.
Aina ei voi voittaa :/
The song wasn't great, and the outfits were completely stupid, but I'm glad they won, simply because it was different. It certainly didn't tie in with most people's perception of what a Eurovision song should be, so they should be commended for that!
Bravo Finland!
Bravo Finland!
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.
I'm not surprised. There' a big Metal community on Greece, I guess that they all voted on Lordi.turtle wrote: LORDI DID IT!![]()

I already thought they would make it in the top5..but number1 no..It really surprised me that Greece gave them 12 points..I thought such a country may find them satanistic or something like that..
But anyways it's just great!
Lordi on paras indeed!
Now I wonder, whos will represent Finaland next year??? Nightwish??? Amorphis??? Stratovarius??? Sonata Arctica???
It would be great if it would be Sentenced but unfortunately they have split-up last year.

Nightwish once tried taking part in the ESC. But back then the national contestant was chosen by a committee of music "gurus", who decided Nightwish was too barbaric to perform internationally or something like that :DMetalAtog wrote: Now I wonder, whos will represent Finaland next year???
