Great, a first team makes moves to come into existence. :D

And where are the Asians, the passionate travellers to East and Southeast Asia; the people with a strong interest into their culture. I also know that some of you guys are married to Thai women.

Some examples of teams could be: star-wars fans - people working in banks - teens - people from Catalonia - people of Russian descent - Esperantists - LGBT - ...
Why "obviously"? I think this could work as usergroups. What if there is a Catalonian teen of Russian descent who likes Star Wars and Esperanto? As those example teams are not mutually exclusive, he will have to join only one team.

No, more teams. There are more facettes to life and personality.

I think it would be a great idea, it would improve the sense of competition, so that people would enter more notes 'for Douglas Adams!' and if people have contact with other people who share the same interest, they would be less likely to stop using eurobilltracker.

A nice idea for some kind of team could also be connecting partner-towns like :flag-de: Detmold + :flag-be: Hasselt + :flag-fi: Savonlinna in a special ranking.

Don't forget:
St. Omer :flag-fr:
Zeitz :flag-de:

And also our "town-friends":
Verona :flag-it:
Kallithea :flag-gr:

more about partner-towns of Detmold: look here
( english version coming soon ..... I hope )

Interesting idea, but I don't think that it would work, since most partner deal are bilateral and not circular. For example :flag-de: Detmold is a partner city of :flag-fr: St. Omer, which in turn is a partner city of :flag-be: Ypres (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint-Omer#Twinned_cities). And Ypres is a partner city of :flag-de: Siegen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ypres#Twin_cities)
Would Detmold and Siegen belong to the same team, even if they're not partner cities?

ooops you're right, I havent consideret this... :?

Than the only possibility would be to rank every city together with it's partners like

Team Detmold feat St. Omer+Hasselt+Savonlinna+Zeitz
Team St. Omer feat. Detmold+Ypres+X
Team Ypres feat. St. Omer+Siegen+X

Who is as "Asia maniac" as I am? Join me when the time has come! :D
I'd love to join the "Asia maniac"-team!
I'm not married to a Thai, but I do live in Thailand, Phuket and work here!
