Can some moderator please help me out. There was another option, which was exactly what Pretfles said "I'll find out who won tomorrow". Somehow it disappeared.

EDIT 3:43 am

Nearly two hours later, I'm still going strong... 8)

I'm not interested in Oscar Gala at all. I don't see anything special on it. It doesn't make the films any better when the directors/actors whoever get the award. You have seen the film in cinema and you either liked it or not.

There is nothing special in the ceremony itself eiher. The presenter tells the name like: "This year's Oscar award in sound effects goes to... (the audience is holding their breath) Mr Seymour Bollockski!!!" Resounding applause. Mr Bollockski walks onto the stage, shakes hands with the presenter and takes the price from him. He also gets a punch of flowers from a woman dressed in tastelessly shiny dress and hugs her although he has never seen her before the gala. He walks to the speaker's stand, clears his throat and the audience falls silent. Then he gives a speech in which he thanks all the stunts, sound controllers and whoever, and MAYBE says something quasi-radical, like critizises George W. Bush's foreign policy. After saying "thank you" he gets resounding applause again and walks back to his seat. Then the same ceremony is repeated over and over.

No thanks. I find even Ricky Lake Show more interesting.

Please tell me someone, what is so interesting in this gala :?: :?

I don't watch this kind of programs. Maybe it would be nice to go there personally, and see all that in real life. But tv-show... not me.

It's just a big ceremony where the Hollywood industry gives prizes to itself (with the exception for the "Best Foreign Movie"). Who cares?

I've always called stuff like this "useless Scheisse". Guess why? Because it's useless Scheisse.
