Ecocho - The environmental search engine

Post by the.unknown »

Hi guys, I found http://www.ecocho.com/, a search engine which uses Yahoo / Google search but per 1000 hits it plants a tree so we all can feel like we contribute something to the environment :)
It's just like Google: you can implement it in your browser, do a search in your own country, it's fast, ... So why don't we all start using it and spread the word?

bad news:

I just read this (german) article: http://www.heute.de/ZDFheute/inhalt/2/0 ... 58,00.html

It says that Ecocho teeters on the brink of collapse, because Google leaves the project. Ecocho rewards people for searching with Ecocho and this violates Google's strict rules of advertising.
