Yes, it's good that Russia won, not Greece. Their song isn't that bad after all.

It may have been an important factor that Dima Bilan is, as it seems, not just someone but a rather prominent pop singer in Russia, manifested for example by winning the MTV Europe Music Award as "best Russian act" for the last three years in a row (not to list wins from MTV Russia in their national award show). For comparison, Rammstein, The Rasmus and Manu Chao won it once each in comparable categories.
Whether you like the winning song or not, whether you like the pop business and MTV or not, whether you like the voting system or not, this indicates to me that this win doesn't come out of nowhere. There are presumably many fans of Dima Bilan all across Eastern Europe (fans that I picture as teenage girls, but that doesn't matter as long as they've got access to a telephone).
My housemate, an Englishman, said the same with different words: If the UK (who came in last this time, receiving points only from San Marino and from neighbouring Ireland) wanted a serious chance to win this, they should send someone of the rank of Dido, Franz Ferdinand or James Blunt. Now again, even if you don't like any of these I believe there's some truth in it. It shows a bit of different attitudes in the national selection process.
Edit: correction of a grammatical mistake

Yes, this may certainly be a very important factor. On the other side, our "No Angels" also had (some) success outside Germany, but the point may be that their high-times are past too long. And for sure they were not that internationally recognized superstars as is this Russian guy.

I think that all the singers didn't sing.
They shouted out a lot!! (most of them) despite the fact they had a microphone!!!
The onles I liked were Danmark and Norway. (I saw only the "summary" not the complete contest)

what happened?
Sweden was only place 12 on the semifinal but a jury put them to the final instead of Macedonia (and Bulgaria on 11)?

and what happened?
in the semifinal, Greece got 156 points, Armenia 139 points, Russia 135 points
in the final, the same voting countries gave Russia 137 points, Greece 114 points, Armenia 110 points
