Updated on 27.01.2009

Wow, the new year starts with a lot of exciting news especially the :note-50: F/S-combination

This time we have 12 new higher combinations since the last update and 5 of them are new shortcode-records: J052H4, L066H4, M030E5, N024F4 and P021H5.

Changes since last update are marked with red color

Please be aware that i need the following information:
New (full) Short Code
Note Value
Country Code
First 3(!) significant numbers of serial number (if you had no idea which one, take a look in the list stated below).

If you take part in this topic for the first time, please try to have the note already in your hand if you reported it here. If you only find records in your NIG-statistics (especially with old or not yet existing combinations) its a maximum likelihood that its only a typo.

Das schaut sehr nach Tippfehler aus: X006 :note-500: sind allesamt R001 bzw R002 (in diesem Fall wohl letzteres), und nachdem die Bundesdruckerei bis jetzt grade mal R015 geschafft hat... ;)

They're not the highest shortcodes, but I'm a bit confused:

I've got a bunch of fivers (that's not the weird part  ), but I noticed something I didn't know.
I always put them in order of the serialnumber before entering (otherwise I wouldn't have noticed it either), and saw this:

First I thought the M printer uses the shortcode in the right order: M001, M002, M003 etc., but today after M005** V058 I got M004** again (V059).

And second: I had the idea the shortcode switches from M005 to M006 near V075, so V082 would be a M006. But now I've got one with M005 :? .

Is this normal, or is it new to you too?

I can't say anything about the M/V-notes, but for the Austrian press when printing F/N notes it is known, that they are using again old plates just before a new one is started. Its like the same you described.

Yes.... it's usual in M/V notes to for all denominations. Consecutive plates sometimes worked simultaneously, and serials are not consecutive.

And there are a no-consecutive plates mix in 50 €:

V001... M001
V010... M002
V023... M003
V024... M001 !!
V033... M004
V045... M005
V060... M006
V066... M001 !!!!!
V068... M006
V075... M007
