Hey,
October has just begun, the days are getting shorter, it is getting colder, so it is time to start thinking about the upcoming winter EBT meeting.
Last year we had our first winter EBT meeting, and it was a success! Therefore it would be great to organize another winter meeting.
In this topic you can volunteer to organise the Winter EBTM'10.
Initially the winter meeting is supposed to be a light version of a meeting
What do we mean by a light version?
* Only one evening where we can all eat and drink together
* One day program is enough, no need for fancy trips, just a walk through the city is enough
* It doesn't have to be a national capital
* Countries which have already organised a EBTM can organise a new one.
Still if you want to organise a full EBTM don't hesitate to do so!
Requirements/conditions/guidelines for organisers
* Two organisers or more. One will be appointed as the main organiser
* The main organiser is at least 21 years old
* The main organiser should be able to communicate in English
* At least one of the organisers should have participated in an official international Eurobilltrackermeeting
* At least one of the organisers should live in or know the city where the event will take place very well
* At least one of the organisers should have organised a national EBT meeting
Requirements/conditions/guidelines for candidate city
* The city should have a certain touristic appeal. International EBTM participants will stay for more than one day.
* The city should be located near an international airport. If the city doesn't have an airport, it should have at least railway connection to an international airport.
* There should be youth hostels nearby where people can stay cheap
* There should be a few restaurants which are able to have a large group of people eating there or two/three restaurants located near each other which can handle some smaller groups.
Remember this a checklist. If a candidate doesn't match any of these conditions, they still can be a candidate to organise an official international eurobilltracker meeting.
Still, the more requirements a candidate organising team has, the more credibility the candidacy has.
Candidates place your candidacy here in this thread before middle of November (15-11). If you do so, give us the name(s) of the organising team, the city you want to organise Winter EBTM'10 and the dates that you can organise it. A detailed schedule of the event is not needed, the big lines are appreciated.
Please, keep this thread for candidates only!

Hello dear colleagues,
Following yesterday's Maltese national meeting, it was decided to candidate Malta for Winter EBTM 2010.
4 of us, namely, ewri, Sharatan3, ElleFCee and Ewru will be organising this event, with the possibility of other 3 to join us. We are all over 21 years of age and we all can communicate in English
As per meetings, the first Maltese national meeting was held yesterday and me & Sharatan3 have attended to last year's winter meeting in Bologna and the 2008 Italian national meeting.
We suggest lodging somewhere in St.Paul's Bay/Qawra/Bugibba area and visiting Valletta & Gozo. (This would cover all 3 Maltese dots)
Malta can be reached either by air or by ferry from Sicily or Genoa (this takes quite some time, though)
This is a list of destinations to Malta by air - http://www.maltairport.com/page.asp?n=d ... arch&st=dt" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There is a direct shuttle from the airport to every location, apart from regular buses/taxis. (Anyone driving here, please note that we drive on the left side of the road)
We are planning a meeting on Saturday & Sunday but schedules will be communicated later.
Looking forward to welcoming you all on our little island.

I'd like comments from the bids that didn't win
Any info on when so that we can plan our holidays? Or are we also going to vote for this?

Since this is not the place to discuss all sorts of information of W-EBTM10, but only to place a candidacy, I opened up a new topic
