The restrict-access area is controlled by cameras, but if you are hosted in a hotel or hostel in the downtown you are authorized to enter only two times (arrive and departures): every hotel/hostel have a different agreement with the municipality, so ask to your structure about its agreement.

Do you have to arrange this before you arrive or can just you drive to the parking and go to the hotel and arrange it there?

Our B&B management said to communicate the car number (Plakat) and the time you'll cross the videocamera (maybe you'll find a red traffic light) to it, so it is able to register the car to the municipality police via Internet. Moreover, there are 5 videocameras between the Train Station and the Cathedral: they ckeck 24 hours a day the bus/taxi/ambulace lane, so DO NOT pass through those streets anyway, otherwise you'll pay an expensive sanction and no one can delete it.

Tomorrow I will buy the tickets for entering in Cappelle Medicee.
I am going to check another time the list of coming people, and I will buy tickets for everyone who is in Florence on Saturday.

Pre-meeting: it is probable that many people will arrive in Florence during the afternoon, so we can organize something of unufficial during the evening: a pizza, for example.

When and where will we meet on Friday? Any contact information of the organizers?

Well, I have to look for a pizzeria in Florence... but I hope it will be easier than the restaurant.
Anyway, I'll arrive by train in the afternoon.
