Your last statement is not correct. There is no arbitrariness.taucher wrote:I guess no one can. It's Arbitrariness. As always.Phaseolus wrote:I do know, maybe there is a reason or there is not ?aplfi wrote:Can someone please explain me why this hit was moderated?

I have checked the data and I have decided to unmoderate this hit. I have no explanation available for this moderation.
Nevertheless, please be sure that this point will be addressed during the next Board of Directors, as the problem you raised is something that we ought to address for the sake of the Community.

Re: Please Moderate / Unmoderate this Hit
As for aplfi's hit, it was apparently my own fault. I do not know why I would have chosen to moderate it, but the logs prove that I (from my usual IP address) did it. Sorry, this was purely an accident.
We're at some point aiming to replace the current "interesting/not interesting" moderation system with a score-based system. This would mean that the website would automatically calculate a score (like 0-100) for all hits according to a predefined set of rules. You could also select a threshold to view, say, only those hits whose interestingness is > 70. Having an automated system would be equally fair for everyone, and it'd be far from arbitrary.
The hard part is coming up with the rules for calculating the score. If you want to help, please have a look at this topic and submit your ideas there. Complaining about the actions of the moderators doesn't really help.
Any further discussion about this should be written to the above topic, it'd be offtopic here. Thank you.

Re: Please Moderate / Unmoderate this Hit
First part of this triple is clearly a meeting hit, which makes the triple un-interesting as well.
Re: Please Moderate / Unmoderate this Hit
I don't think so. It was a moderated meeting hit, but now this hit is changed to an interesting one.Crazy Bob wrote:First part of this triple is clearly a meeting hit, which makes the triple un-interesting as well.
Re: Please Moderate / Unmoderate this Hit
Oh no, this discussion again. It should be moderated because else people are going to meetings and have a zillion meetinghits because when it in the future pops up again, it's a real triple. I don't think so.ErGo wrote:I don't think so. Ergo, honestly, are you proud on this kind of triple?

Believe me or not, but i didn't care if this triple is in my list or not.Mr Euro wrote:ErGo wrote:I don't think so. But i don't know that we had already this kind of discussion for this way, i just remember the other way: that a normal hit get uninteresting because the last part and thats ok for me.
But your point of view means that this note would never be interesting again even if it will get a quintuple.
But what is the exact difference to all other bundles of notes, where 99 of 100 notes get moderated and then one of this note pop up and suddenly the hit get interesting. Why is this automatic "de"moderation in the system? Because it is/was the normal rule in EBT. So i am not really satisfied whith the decision to make this triple "uninteresting".
Re: Please Moderate / Unmoderate this Hit
There were already several discussions about this topic, even in the board and neither one had a defined outcome in what to do. I unmoderated it again, since there is no clear rule about it.ErGo wrote:Believe me or not, but i didn't care if this triple is in my list or not.Mr Euro wrote:ErGo wrote:I don't think so. I for one, don't see this as a real triple. I believe the second input should be deleted. Otherwise I will bring thousands of bills with me and exchange them with any other tracker, enter them and wait till they pop up again. Many triples as a result!
What's the difference with non-meeting hits. Well, the non-meeting hits which get auto-moderated are incidental. Pe you go to a bank and two days after I go to same bank. A meetinghit isn't. If you put 40-80 ebt-ers 2 or 3 days together, you bound to have hits. Even with the warning notice I place a few days before every EBTM.
Every hit or part of a hit should be incidental in my opinion.
I rest my case.
