I note that JHN TX made a special effort today to bring the number of notes entered in Ireland to exactly 500,000.

The note that I entered was an old German 20e.
If I ever get to Moneygall ,I must call into the bar and ask to see the Obama 50 euro note.

maybe i'll go to ireland this summer.
although probably i won't have much time to spend on eurobilltracking, i have two questions. do the city profiles represent the different townlands? or is there a higher entity which is used? what do i enter for the postal code (as ireland doesn't seem to have any)?

Except for Dublin which does have post codes just use the name of the town or village along with the county abbreviation. Avoid using Irish language names as this causes problems for City Administrators.

1) "Townland" has a very specific meaning in Ireland, usually a subdivision of rural areas outside of towns and villages. If you get notes in rural areas, I suggest you place them for EBT purposes at the nearest town or village.
2) Just use the county code, unless you get notes from the postcoded areas of Dublin ( the immediate Dublin area has a postcode system).

An Daingean already exists under the name Dingle. Future problems for any location not yet having a city profile can be resolved when a note is entered for that location.

Notes of and are very rare in Ireland. Most banks carry neither of these values and only get the occasional note when brought in by a customer.
In almost 3 years I have only found 3 x and 11 x most of which were kept specifically for me by my regular sources.
